RDJ100RF/SET - Room Thermostat Radio Frequency Set with 24-Hour time Switch (Transmitter and Receiver)

Now, this is a well engineered device. Yes, it is made in China, but it is definitely conceived by Germans (I am an engineer myself, and it has been awhile since I held a device so human-friendly and so well made). Really easy to use. You can: make it follow "day" (usually higher) temperature constantly; make it follow "night" (usually lower) temperature constantly; dance in between them according to time schedule; make it follow arbitrary temperature by rotating big volume-like knob; make it protect your house from freezing - all of it with a simple slider selector and a large knob you can rotate like a volume knob on the amplifier. No problems with wireless connection. You can also adjust how it follows temperature - Fast/Slow PID, +/- 0.5 and +/- 0.25 degrees. I went for +/- 0.5 degrees, since I hate when boiler turns on and off 100 times per hour - it is really bad for it. Default setting is Slow PID, which would be OK for most folks. The only thing I didn't like is that I had to bend connecting wires at 90 degrees very close to the case of the thermostat when I installed the wired part of it on the wall. My wires were single-core (old house, rented), and they weren't too happy about a bend so sharp. Otherwise, definitely recommend - well made and easy to use. Works flawlessly.

works great! i managed to pair this to the older model ( RDJ10RF) receiver without issue!! No need for a tradesman..

I want to recommend this product. The only issue I had with it was actually connecting the wires into the receiver and I've been a sparky for 40 years. Got them in though. It works really well and easy to programme.

Good product and quick delivery

Good wireless range, easy to install, very clear instructions (that don’t require a magnifying glass or a university degree to understand)*. There are only two programmes so not useful for those who want 7 day, several times a day settings - but the trade off is the easy ability to override when required using the simple, easy to understand controller. It was chosen to replace an over complicated SUNVIC controller which tried to do everything but in the process was impossible to use - and on which a simple override defeated us. SO THIS SIEMENS PROVED FAR SUPERIOR IN USE BECAUSE OF ITS SIMPLICITY. * and I do have a university degree!
