This is my first time using an Acer laptop, but I've had an Acer desktop computer for years, which I've really enjoyed. I've been very happy with the quality, performance, and ease-of-use so far with this laptop. The main reasons I considered purchasing this particular model included the solid state drive, the decent amount of RAM at 16GB, the WiFi-6 capabilities, and the reasonably good amount of storage space. Also, it provides quite a number of ports, so I can attach all the accessories and portables that I want. What I appreciate the most so far is definitely the solid state drive. I've been using those for years, and I just love how fast they are. Booting up the computer takes seconds, and I'm ready to go. Overall, I do like the design of this laptop. The keyboard has a nice feel to it, and my only tiny complaint there is the layout format of the 10-Key pad. I work in Accounting and Bookkeeping, and I'm used to a certain layout, which this pad doesn't really offer. Some of the operation keys aren't where I'm used to having them, but I can still accomplish what I need to do. I don't use this for its gaming, so I can't speak to how well it performs there. However, as just a nice home office laptop that is fairly light weight and performs well, I'm happy with it so far.

This laptop has exceeded my expectations greatly. From the sleek design to the speed and power of the CPU, it is an incredible device. The CPU, combined with the 16GB RAM, makes multitasking effortless. I typically have 40+ tabs open in my browser, and with this laptop, it makes having that, along with multiple other apps such as blender, open at the same time; extremely easy to run without issue. The 512GB SSD fits my needs, it may be small for some people who use 1TB+ of storage, but this is not a bad choice. The battery life is around 5-6 hours while just watching a video, or not really doing anything else demanding like researching. However, it does get down to around 3-4 hours if you're doing a lot like gaming or doing some creative work with a heavy app. I just think that this is an amazing laptop all around!

I am not sure where the negative comments come from. I purchased 2 of these laptops. My wife needed a new one also. I bought the R7 5825U Non-Touch screen. They were delivered quickly and safely. Both laptops powered on and went right to the update screen. Updated without issues. I took the time to remove/delete programs and apps that I will never use or were useless to me. I uploaded programs I do use without an issue, including LibreOffice. There was no blocking of the upload and the programs work as advertised. I am having no issues with fan noise/constant running. I hooked up to my WIFI easily and my DL/UL speeds are great. The laptops are very smooth running. They are quick and responsive. I would recommend these to anyone who wants a reasonable priced, every day, normal use computer.

This is a great laptop! It is exactly what I wanted. Long battery life, clear screen, and Windows make this my perfect laptop. It has enough ports & connects wirelessly to my printer. It makes the project I’m working on so much easier.

While the specs for this computer are good for the price which was the reason I bought it, when I received it, I could not believe how flimsy it was. The entire housing is made of plastic that is so thin, it literally bows in the middle of the computer keyboard. You can see the distortion in the keys. You can actually bend/flex the entire computer when holding it in both hands. I have a 2017 ACER computer that this one was replacing. The build quality is not even close. The old one has housing that is comprised of a metal keyboard top piece and rigid plastics everywhere else. It has held up beautifully to pretty much non-stop daily use over the past 8 years. There is no way this piece of junk will hold up. Simply typing on the keyboard causes it to bow inward. ACER should be ashamed of producing such a flimsy product. Buyer beware!!!!

Product was exactly as described. I have not had any issues with the quality or functions. Everything works seamlessly.

Computer arrived on time but with slightly damaged outer box and no packaging to protect contents. Fortunately inside box okay and unit was fine. Setup easy but then cooling fan kicked in with an annoying hissing sound. Never got better. Number pad has an unusual layout and NumLock key has no light to indicate locked or not, occasionally causing problems like deleting a file because keypad not locked ON. Acer customer services/support non existant on internet. After many attempts to contact via phone, finally got through to be told websites have been down for weeks. Not good sign. Noisy cooling fan, number pad design and support issues reason I returned unit and now am awaiting a refund.
