Rosewood Naturals Bird Pick-n-Fly, 130 g (Pack of 1)

I am always on the look out for good quality, value for money enrichment for my girls. It’s important to provide a selection of seed sprays for hamsters as part of their enrichment to ensure that they are occupied, stress free and healthy whilst aiming to provide an environment in their enclosure which is as close to their habitat were they wild and not domesticated. It also provides healthy, natural food stuffs for them and they have to collect them themselves. I have had many packets of pick’n’fly as it is just as suitable for these small rodents as for birds. The packs I receive are varied - I presume due to whatever is available for the supplier at the time of packaging. I like this as it gives my girls different things to try - the flax seed sprays when included are always a favourite. Not all sprays become favourites to eat but it is important to remember that providing a suitable and enriching environment isn’t just about these sprays providing food. It doesn’t matter if they don’t enjoy a particular seed spray to eat as it also adds to the overall environment of the enclosure so it’s never an issue if it just becomes part of the “decoration”. I also like that Rosewood are a U.K. company, who aim to produce animal and bird food which is packed with natural ingredients and few additives. I have these items on a subscription so that I can top up supplies when needed without having to think about it. Thank you for a fabulous product 🙂

Very budget friendly and my hamster loves these! They make his home look cozy and it a healthy treat to promote natural foraging behaviour. Delivery and size of the pack - good.

These are great for filling up spaces in hamster cage, for texture and to help emulate the natural world. Def value for money but I will say a lot of the seeds did fall off, but none-the-less these are great to use along with dried flowers.

I look after my daughters Conure during her holidays and he loves this - especially the dari cob/red sorghum & seed heads. He'll have a chew at the grasses but would be happy enough without them, he deffo prefers the cob & seed heads and will whittle away at them over days. It can make a little mess if fed outwith their cage but I'm ok with that and so is he :) There's normally a couple of good sized cobs in a pack and I'd say 1 cob could last a week or so. Of all the "boredom" natural treats bought for him I think this is his favourite.

They're sprays, but I honestly wasn't super impressed with the quality of them? I got a good few sturdy pieces in mine, which were all pretty much the exact same spray and then the rest were all just tiny little strands and broken off pieces. Most of them were broken in the bag to be fair. But I could only really put like 4 of them in my hamsters enclosure and the rest of it I had to just scoop into a little bag to save for sprinkling them around I guess.

I absolutely love this product and I will explain why in different reasons to make it easier for you to decide if you would like to buy. Price: This is the cheapest bundle of sprays I have come across and it is true to size/weight, therefore making it an inexpensive option for your birds or rodents. Variety: The bundle of sprays I got included all of the sprays which were displayed in the photo, I am very happy with the amount of flax sprays I got and my hamsters favourite spray so far is his flax sprays. Quality: While some of the seeds from the sprays did fall off in the packaging, the sprays were of great quality. There were no bugs, mold or anything, the sprays were fresh and ready to add straight into my enclosure (although I would recommend freezing them for 24 hours before putting them in the cage). Any of the seeds that have dropped off can be easily sprinkled around the cage to further encourage foraging behaviours for your pet. Nutrition: Due to the variety of the sprays, they offer lots of different nutritional value, making it a good addition to your pets diet as long as given in moderation. Boredom Breaker: Sprays are a great way to keep your pet entertained as they have to get the seeds off themselves and forage for the food. This means they are less likely to be stressed in their enclosure as they are entertained and can show their natural behaviours. Clutter: These sprays are also amazing to add clutter to the enclosure. If you are using this for hamsters or small prey animals it is important to not make their enclosure too revealing as it can make them feel stressed and unsafe. These sprays provide overhead clutter which mimics where they would hide in the wild and makes them less stressed, this makes them a perfect addition to the enclosure. Overall: Overall I rate these sprays 5/5 stars as they have great variety for a great price, have good nutritional benefit, encourage natural behaviours like foraging and it also makes the enclosure look more natural. I definitely recommend and I will be buying again!

Hamsters love these. I have a Siberian and a syrian. Good mixture of sizes and 3 different varieties. It enriches a hamsters life and makes it more like their natural environment but is also pleasing to look at for the owners. A win for everyone. Rosewood is also a UK company so it's a win for society also. They're quite beautiful to look at. My hamsters haven't woken up to find them yet but they'll be thrilled when they do. I'm aware my Syrian has already managed to smell them but has decided it's too early to be getting up. Just his nose poked out his house sniffing the air. EDIT. SYRAIN HAS SINCE WOKEN AND WENT FOR THE FLAX FIRST.
