Restore old Shure se215
I have an old set of se215 I bought in 2015. I went a long stretch without using them and they still have the very original cable. The left side has a cut in that plastic where the ear hook bends and sometimes I would hear it cut in and out. The left bud was easier to pull out than the right and popped out sometimes. I didn't want to chance on oem cable. Maybe they improved it I don't know, but the microphonics on my original cable is the worst. Very cheap earphones with rubber cable transfered less noise so I tried something different. I didn't expect the new cable to be almost squishy soft. Many small wires instead of fewer bigger ones. I got the long one thinking to match the original. Well I don't know if I need that much length. It feels longer because of how floppy and soft it is. The length and softness can seem to make it a little more tangle prone than something a little shorter and not as soft. But anyways it has a sort of bad smell to me out if the package. It's not super strong but it's a weird smell. I wiped them down with damp paper towel but it may fade with time. The pre bent ear hooks are bent a bit too tight or aggressive for me so I used a hairdryer to widen the U shape. That helped a lot for comfort. So they are really comfortable and are a good match for my old se215. My old cable being so loud and it's condition is why I got a new one. I like the cable. I got more than enough length now. So much better to use with the new cable. I didn't realize this cable is even longer than the original when I bought it. So I was glad that they snapped on nicely and required a decent amount to pull the buds off for both sides. So it fixed my old loose cable and the microphonics completely. The red ring is easy to see and goes on the right bud with the red dot on it. How they sound? Well good. Exactly the same as my old cable. They don't change sound at all and neither do digital to analog converers. Since you don't bend these to form, that part of the cable should be much more reliable than the oem cable. So if your's is the same then this will be a nice upgrade just for that reason. It practically has none or as little as possible for microphonics. The slider holds in place. The length of where the cable splits is much shorter from there to the ends but that doesn't bother me at all. Supposedly the green coloration doesn't effect the old cable as you can see in pics. I guess it's true since I couldn't hear a sound difference between the new and old but it was cutting sometimes and just too noisy. One should not get a cable for the sound at all but for all the other reasons. Someone shouldn't expect it to change your sound or make it better or worse. It sounds exactly the same to me. It will be the same and that is great nothing wrong with that. I can recommend the cable, way better than my original in noise and flexibility and it's super soft and is a great match for 215 IEMS. It's also more comfortable because of just resting lightly on your ears and being soft with very little noise. That's especially true since I reshaped them with the hair dryer. Looks much better too to me.

improvement to Shure cable after a few days of use
I've had a pair of Shure SE215s for years. The cable has a couple of issues. My most recent replacement cable became "loose" at the 3.5mm plug and became unusable. Previously, the part of the cable that bends across my ears became frayed. Both situations have at least one channel going in and out. I contemplated buying another pair - after three cable purchases over 4 years I figured a new complete set of headphones isn't much more than a new cable. The buds still looked good so I figured let me try a different cable for once. I picked this one after looking at dozens of choices. I find the fit around my ear better - it is a slightly different setup but works well for me. The braided cable also tends to not get as twisted up. Perhaps because of the fit around my ear, the buds even sound better. And feel more comfortable with extended use during a day. So after a few days, very high marks. We'll see what happens through time.

Excellent for the money!
As a professional musician, I tend to go through about 2 or 3 in-ear cables a year. There are a ton of these imports on Amazon, hard to gauge those that are good. After using these about 4 months, I think I may have finally found a reliable and cost effective brand. Hadn't used a non stiff ear loop side before, and was concerned these would not stay in place on the ear, but the cable has just the right amount of firmness and pliability once you wrap them over the top of your ears. I found them comfortable. If I say anything negative, they tend to tangle a little more than some thicker core cables. As to 6 core vs. other higher multiple core sound quality, IMHO I think it's mostly voodoo. You'd be better off spending your money on better ears, or at very least better ear pads (e.g. Comply). I've only done the barest of A-B comparisons, and didn't hear any significant perceptible difference with higher cores. As a keyboardist/pianist, I live in the upper end and midrange, and these were just fine. After going though a couple of other higher core cables that failed, I'd rather have a cable I can trust. No microphonics, no shorts. I love that they are black, I do a bunch of TV/Video stuff, and constantly forget to tuck my cable under my shirt. Since I mostly wear black, this isn't as obvious as a big honking silver/gold cable running down my back. I haven't got yelled at recently by any producers, so that's a plus. :) Another side point of contention: Because they get lost, forgotten, stepped on, etc., I won't use any IEM's or custom molds that cost over $200.00 anymore. Using these with my Session Ace and Shure IEM's (MMCX connection) and I'm happy. Cheers

SUPER SOFT
I got these for my first pair of IEMs and it was a MUCH needed upgrade. The quality of this cable vs OEM was insane. Not only are they soft, but they look amazing too! My ONLY gripe is the ear loops; those need better molds to hold in place

cable good, 2pin 2.5mm jack does not have a groove/notch on the side
the 2 pin 2.5 mm jacks do not have the groove on one side of the jack as the merchants pictures.

I broke the cable and something got stuck in one of the earbuds. Contacted customer service and they sent me a new pair of earbuds within a week ! I'm very satisfied with BASN and I strongly recommend their products !! The MMCX line is great, I'm a drummer and I can hear everything clearly when on stage ! Thank you !!! Pierre Lareau Canada

This cable is really nice. I got the 4.4mm connector for my IfI Hip Dac 3, so far so amazing. For me, it's also compatiable with ZS10 Pro and the Pro X (Tried with both) The cable itself is very durable. The connectors are pretty secure in my in-ear monitors and they sound pretty good. A lot better than the stock cable which goes stiff after a while of use. But I also don't like the stiff sleve near the ear because it literally keeps pulling the IEM out of my ear, even though it fits correctly over the ear. I prefer this design because it's keeping the IEM in my ear much better. Just naturally goes around the top and over the ear with ease. Pretty much naturally. So, this cable overall is amazing. And the upgrade from Unbalanced 2.5mm to Balanced 4.4mm is so worth it. There is a lot less noise in the sound when listening to music and just in silence really. You will have to make sure that 4.4mm connectors are supported in your DAC and headphones before you get it though, which is easy to find out. Overall, I have had the best experiene. The only downside is that the cable can be heavy if you don't use some sort of tie on the back of your shirt so that it doesn't feel so heavy. It's still wonderfully comfortable though and I will think about getting these again, if and when I need to. I am not totally sure whether all this 6-Core, 8-Core and 16-Core stuff makes a difference, I am yet to find that out.

A very nice looking and feeling cable. It is nearly tangle free and connects perfectly to my Sennheiser IE600. (I modded the connectors on these so they fit standard MMCX cables as with this one). There is also nearly no noise coming to the earphones when rubbing on the cable. Would wish for a version with inline microphone and multimedia controls.

Bought these to replace the feable and expensive official senny cable and it's very good. Long jack.
