Works great for sore muscles

The ball doesn't always roll when using, but it still slides across the skin. Overall, I like the product and is probably the best thing I have found so far to massage the knots at my scapular region. I have used it dry and with oil, but don't notice a difference between the two.

It does not stay in place on a painted surface if you try to use it on back muscles. You'll need assistance from someone to massage your back. I was sold on it when I tried it on a textured wallpaper surface and it stayed in place with the pressure of my body against it. There it worked great without assistance to go deep into muscle tissue behind my shoulder blades! No luck at home on a painted wall.
