BetaFPV F4 in a non whoop 90mm frame and flies awesome!
The media could not be loaded. Right out of the box, this FC looks really great, well done BetaFPV. I put this in a non whoop 90mm carbon fiber frame and it flies awesome after a little PID work (this FC is configured for whoop use). Mine came with Betaflight 3.4 (stable version at this moment). The CPU handles perfectly the 8 / 8 khz configuration in acro mode. Recovers after ghost branches, rolls and flips are really smooth and fast. This was the easiest bind I ever made and ever seen! you don’t need to press a button and connect the lipo at the same time to bind and for me that is a great step forward. Another different thing to consider, I bought the FrSky version but it is not Sbus, to configure, read the manual. The next for me was to remap the extra TX1 pad for use with a buzzer because I fly most of the time outdoors.

Best whoop FC I have used!
This is a nice FC. Binding was easy, soldering up the camera was easy, the included hardware fit nicely, and it flew amazingly. RSSI is working out of the box on the OSD, and mine came with 3.4.1, which is pretty close to the latest revision of Betaflight. Below are my personal changes that I made to my Betaflight setup:Upped the rates to my standard setup (optional)Disabled MOTOR STOP (personal preference)Set up modes (arm was already configured)re-arranged OSD (optional)disabled anti-gravity (optional)This is a well thought out FC, that performs great. Better than Beecore.

Fast but buggy ISSUE RESOLVED
UPDATE: so, previously I wasn't using the OSD feature, because my all-in-one camera didn't have an OSD. I got a new camera with OSD and connected all the wires. And, suddenly, all my problems with failsafe-ing and losing binding went away. It doesn't make any sense to me either, but there you have it. (NOTE: like so many others, I'm still using D8 as well, not sure if that matters but if ain't broke...)There are a couple listings for this on amazon. In both you'll find people complaining about the same issue: it randomly loses connection after about 30 seconds and falls out of the sky. And/or loses the binding completely. Switching to D8 (the internet's favorite fix, although BetaFPV says not necessary) works for one of the two I bought, but not the other one.

Very high quality F4 flight controler. Flys like a freestyle quad.
OSD, Telemetry, Smart Audio all right out of the box. This is my first experience with SPI and it has not let me down. The quad flies great stock but will fly better with a little tuning for sure. Probably the easiest drone i have ever setup.

The definitive upgrade to the Betafpv F3 evo
The Betafpv F3 evo used to be my go-to tinywhoop flight controller. Now the Betafpv F4 provides all the same features but the F4 is faster, more stable AND its comparable in price. Right now Betaflight 3.5 is amazing with the F4 tinywhoop Flight Controllers. This FC will have you flipping and diving from heights you're not used to reaching or recovering from. I recommend this simple to use FC to any beginner pilots, the OSD and the internal RX are very valuable features. Pair these with the Betafpv 6x15 19,500kv or the Betafpv 7x16 19,000kv and you'll have a super fast and agile brushed drone

Random disconnects. Not functional
It flew ok at first but then random disconnects and losing of all betaflight config. Quality issues I guess

No buzzer pads
I have built many Whoop drones with different types of FCs. The BETAFPV F4 FC 1S Brushed Flight Controller works well for my DIY build using the Brainbrain Cockroach frame. The main down side is that it does not come with buzzer pads (I have buzzers installed for all my other builds). I had to remap one of the TX/RX pins to the Betaflight Buzzer function but the current draw is so small that it could hardly made audible sound from 10 feet away. Installing a transister circuit did not seem to work neither (and adding more weight). For the cost of this FC, it is a shame not to include the buzzer pads which I think it important for flying outdoors. There are cheaper FCs out there with the buzzer pads included

Constant signal drop
not sure if its just a bad controller but this F4 brushed controller from BetaFPV keeps dropping signal wether in D8 or 16 mode. theres not a whole lot of info about this controller online, not even over at BetaFPV's website.
