Fantastic device with minor caveats.
I got this after moving into a house with entirely (faux) wood flooring. I can't stand sweeping and mopping, but I also can't stand constantly walking all over sticky/dirty/crumby floors. Previously I had a mid-tier Roomba, but it didn't do any mopping. This was an excellent solution. It was steeply discounted when I bought it, but still a pretty penny. Thankfully, I can confidently say it was worth the price. Pros: >Vacuums up hard flooring quite well. >Great for regular maintenance. Pretty good obstacle avoidance. >Great at recognizing rugs so it doesn't end up trying to mop them. >Good built in lighting so I don't have to leave lights on. >Components last a long time between replacements—longer than the Roomba vacuum components. >Cleaning settings are very customizable. Suction power, mop wetness, emptying frequency, wash mop pad frequency, and more. >Builds a pretty good map and navigates it well. >Pretty good obstacle avoidance with the option to save a picture of the obstacle for you to review. If you opt in for this, you can also provide feedback on the obstacle and/or tell it to ignore that obstacle in the future (Mini con: it makes you wait 5 seconds to confirm before ignoring an obstacle, which is a bit silly since you can undo it). According to the app, unless you submit feedback on the obstacle only you can view the images and they aren't stored in the cloud, so you don't have to worry about privacy. >The water tank holds enough to last through quite a few runs, and includes the option to set up auto fill/empty if you have some simple plumbing knowledge or the patience to watch a few videos and learn. >Robust battery life >It definitely vacuums better than my Roomba did, and the roller is far better at isolating hair for easy removal. Cons: >Out of the box, the voice feedback on this thing is LOUD. You can turn the volume down, but it's kind of difficult to figure out how to in the app. >There are a number of settings you can't adjust while it's running even though they shouldn't affect the current job. You can't just pause it to access them, either, you have to cancel the job entirely. >It allows you to set whether or not the detergent auto dispenses, but not how much of it. If you want to adjust that you need to add detergent manually. >It gives a kind of ridiculously wide berth around obstacles. >As you'd expect, for the best result you still need to clear your floors. It doesn't pick up anything big on the floor, nor is it great at cleaning up very sticky messes. >Creating room partitions on the virtual map can be a bit finicky. >It does occasionally recognize mundane objects as obstacles, even if they aren't the type it should avoid. It will also occasionally fail to spot cable or curtains. Much to my personal mirth, it will occasionally "lose it's mops" when this happens. They're easy to pop back on though and none of my cables or curtains have suffered any notable damage. >Hard floors still need the very occasional deep cleaning with a real mop, especially since the detergent on this thing is residual, so floors can get somewhat sticky after an extended period of repeated runs with this thing. >It's a bit loud while vacuuming, but I use a very high suction power setting, so it's to be expected. Overall, the cons are either standard/expected among robot floor cleaners, or minimal enough to be avoided. Bonus: image of part of the map on the app and the berth it gave an obstacle along with images of my kitten who is obsessed with this thing and always gets in its way being an "obstacle."

One of the best purchases I've ever made, what a beast machine!
This is the fanciest piece of technology I own, even moreso than my own car. I cannot overstate the usefulness, reliability, work ethic, and ease to maintain. I've never had to go over the work it's completed after a cleaning cycle, as it eliminated all of the dirt and sufficiently mopped all of the floor surfaces. It's communicative to you through the app, so it tells you what it needs... But don't forget that it's up to YOU to maintain the machine: it's not entirely self-cleaning & self-sufficient. Refill, drain, & sanitize the water reservoirs. Take out the mop base assembly & clean/sanitize it from hair, dirt, and debris. Remove the roller, remove the ends, and take out the balled up pieces of hair & string. I feel like purchasers neglect to perform simple machine maintenance & care, & blame the machine when it malfunctions due to build-up. It is not a quiet machine, but with its suction power it's worth the trade-off. This machine seems pricey, but it is worth every penny paid for. Love the "remote control" feature to "drive" the machine around & view through the camera & listen through the microphone to check on my pets at home.

Awful experience and expensive device
First, the package arrived with some missing components, which was disappointing. Second, the device stopped functioning properly after less than five months of regular use, showing poor durability. Now, they claim water damage occurred from routine use, like minor splashes or humidity exposure, and they refuse to cover the repair or replacement under warranty because Amazon isn't listed as an official vendor. This makes the warranty claim process more complicated. Plus, the customer support is terrible—they made me pay a fee for a refurbished device, which they now can't send because I bought from here, and they don't want to either give me my device or reimburse me.

Is 6 stars an option!?
The DREAME X30 Ultra is hands down the best home purchase I’ve ever made and absolutely worth the investment. It has completely changed how we manage cleaning in our household. The biggest win is time. I no longer spend hours vacuuming or mopping—this handles everything while we’re at work. Even as a no-shoes household, the amount of dirt, dust, and debris it still picks up is honestly wild. It’s eye-opening in the best way and speaks to how effective the system really is. What truly sets the X30 Ultra apart is its intelligence and automation. The mapping is incredibly accurate, navigation is smooth, and its ability to recognize and avoid objects—including transitions between surfaces and pets—is remarkable. It doesn’t feel like a robot guessing its way around the house; it feels intentional and precise. The app experience and functionality are just as impressive. Controls are intuitive, customization is deep, and once it’s set up, it simply runs in the background doing its job without constant intervention. This is one of those products where the tech actually enhances daily life instead of adding friction. Pros: • Massive time savings with fully automated cleaning • Exceptional suction and pickup—even in a no-shoes household • Highly accurate mapping and navigation • Smart object avoidance, including pets and floor transitions • Excellent app with robust customization and controls • Truly “set it and forget it” experience Cons: • None that outweigh the performance or value at this level This is a premium product that earns its price tag through performance, reliability, and real-life impact. It’s not just convenient—it’s transformative. I would buy it again without hesitation. Bottom line: If you’re on the fence about investing in a top-tier robot vacuum, this is the one. Can I give it 6 stars?
