Awesome product. Fit and forget. 1. Use a PVC pipe and cut it to the size equal to the height of your tank (let's call this sensor stick). 2. Use ZipTies to secure all the three sensors to the PVC pipe (Sensor Stick), use three ZipTies per sensor. 3. Use 3 to 5 meters of 1sq.mm electric wire of three different colors (remember the colors!) and solder (yes, solder) the sensor wires to these three wires independently. Use ZipTies liberally to secure the wires all along the Sensor Stick (If you don't solder there is a good chance that the bare copper/metal will oxidize pretty soon and the signal will not reach the control unit). 4. It's up to you how you fix the sensor stick inside the tank (get creative!). Mine is (actually my landlord's) is a plastic tank, so I just burnt a hole on the top of the tank towards the periphery. 5. Now you have three 1sq.mm wires coming out of the tank, each color defining the sensor location (GROUND/bottom or LOW/middle or HIGH/top). 6. Now it's up to you how you are going to carry these wires till the control unit without messing-up with the color codes. You can either use the same 1sq.mm wires all the way OR use an ethernet cable (LAN cable). Note: Always remember to SOLDER the wires to join them, this prevents oxidation and ensures perfect conductivity all the time. Again, use the ZipTies liberally throughout the course of the cable to prevent it from being pulled away. Good luck with the setup! This is one small step towards home automation which takes away a chore off your mind so that you can use the time on the ones that matters the most. Use Renewable Energy wherever possible. Peace.

Great product

Very happy to buy it. Easy to install, nice accuracy We have forgotten the submersible switching on or off for last 5 days since we have got it installed. One thing could be improved and that is the wire of the sensors, two sensors have to be dipped into water. The wires of theses two sensors must have been kept 1 mtr and a half mtr. It has not been working since September. No response on complaining. 1 year warranty claim is fake. They are not picking fone. Not replying mail. It is disgusting

Like many other reviews have stated, the device itself is of good quality but it keeps malfunctioning due to sensors failing time and again. I even tried calling Mivan (and have emailed them), they don't give a resolution and ask you to keep checking the connections. Moreover, their warranty claim process is a pain and they require videos uploaded to YouTube of the device malfunctioning in action - how stupid is that? It doesn't not work all the time, but works intermittently, how do I record the video. The sensors will keep triggering my motor on and off in the middle of the night like small two second long bursts of power due to which I have already burnt my motor twice. I would suggest you to go with a simpler alarm which sounds when the water reaches top level or go for a smart timer. Their sensors started behaving like this in the first 3 months and of course, Mivan refused to replace them. I would not suggest you to waste money on this, there are better alternatives available in the market albeit a bit more traditional. You are mistaken if you think this will make your overhead water tank filling woes touch-less, you will still need to manually turn it on and off as sensors keep going berserk all the time and you will fear burning your motor out.

The fact that it helps stop the wastage of water itself is worth million bucks. The set up was not simple but not complicated either. It works just as described, starts the pump when the level drops and switches off when the threshold is reached. This saves a lot of time for my dad , who ends up looking at the water to switch off. However need to see it’s durability before giving a 5 star. I will check till six months and update this review. Update- Now I have use this product for over 4 years. The first purchased device was fine for 2 years, after which it started to randomly switch on and off, but it at least switched off when the water reach the top. That was buggy but still liveable. But after 2.5 years, the device stopped working, naturally I ordered a new one, this one lasted for 6 to 7 months. I thought may be one bad piece, by this time I had read few reviews on Amazon that the device stopped working for many people after 6 months. This second piece I ordered was the same experience as other reviewers, lasted for 6 to 7 months. I again ordered thinking maybe I got a faulty device this time. The 3rd piece as well lasted for 6 months or so, bought in November 2020. It seems the quality of the devices have dropped, they don't last long, not there is any customer service. The number they provided on the manual or their website, there is no one to answer. Good product gone to waste due to lack of customer support and durability of the product.

After using couple of other overflow prevention gadget from our local shops, and seeing them fail within a short span of time, I had come across this product. From the look in the picture itself I loved it, and my intuition told me that this is a dependable product. I brought it about four months back to be used at my flat, which is in a group housing society, without any underground sump. Installation of the product is quite easy to understand and after connecting the three sensors, which are to be suspended inside the overhead tank at required levels, to the device along with input from power supply and output to the motor, the product is ready to use! Without fail, it is shutting down the motor once the water level in the tank touches the uppermost sensor and turning on it again once it falls below the middle level sensor. We are tension free, regarding the status of the water level, since we have installed this controller. An additional advice for those who do not have an underground sump and have to fully depend on the municipal water supply. Even though this gadget will power on and off the motor automatically to maintain the water level in your overhead tank, in absence of a sump, it cannot sense whether there is water in the supply line or not when the motor is turned on automatically once the water level drops below the middle sensor in the tank. For this manual supervision or interference is required. To be completely tension free, in addition to this gadget, an automatic timer switch may also be attached to supply power to the device only according to the timings of your local water supply. I have installed Smarteefi Android Remote Smart Power Switch, Timer Switch, 16A Wi-Fi Smart Plug for AC, Geyser, Water Motor Pumps, Heater, 1 Year Warranty in which I can set timer to power on the water level controller according to my local water supply timings in the morning and evening.
