Vacuum Mattress Bag for Memory Foam and Latex - Sealed for Easy Movement, Transport and Storage (Queen/Full/Full-XL)

Worked great for packing up and storing an extra full size memory foam mattress. Compressed it down completely and sealed up, but glad it included the lashing straps to secure it compressed during a long storage. Good price point and even if I only need to use it once, it was well worth it.

It worked! Better move it in a few hours though. Started at 3:00 pm with a vacuum, got it squished down enough we could fold the full size in half and wrap the four provided straps around it. Probably spent a total of three hours in the back of the Subaru Outback before arriving at the new place. By 6:00 pm , it was straining at the straps, but basically retained its original vacuumed form reaching it's new home and then being released from the restraining straps, whereupon the enveloped mattress regained it's original volume. The only deficient part of the instructions is that they never actually tell you to place the mattress in the plastic bag.

I used this to compress a memory-foam mattress. It reduced to about 1/4 its normal size. I was able to roll the compressed mattress, which made it a lot easier to carry and store. It did not re-inflate in the 6 months it was in storage. When I uncompressed it, the mattress was back to normal. It's rather a miracle product. It was undamaged, so I put it away to use again sometime. This product cannot be used to compress a water bed since water is mostly un-compressible. Just so you know.

I ordered this for a 5” twin foam mattress I pull out for kids sleep overs. Initially it worked so I thought and even when it re-expanded overnight I thought, “ok user error” and tried again. This time when it again did not hold I thought “ok bad apple, I’ll reorder”. Amazon sent me a replacement before I sent back the defective one. I tried the new one and to my surprise there were AUDIBLE holes in it when I stopped vacuuming. I couldn’t believe it. I easily found them, and, Since it was Christmas and I was trying to get this mattress out of the way, I tried taping the holes with duct tape on top of clear plastic tape, then tried it again. It just doesn’t work. Air crept in. After trying two different bags (same exact product) I have come to the conclusion that it does not work bc the bags arrive comprised. Will return and try a different brand.

Honestly, even alone, it was pretty easy to set up and get it packed. It did take awhile though! I used it for a queen size mattress topper during my move up north from southern America (about 2 days). We were limited on space, so we tied this down to the top of the car. It does seem to be a very sturdy bag, but it unfortunately did rip during our travel. Not giving it too hard of a knock on the rating though, as it probably isn’t meant to be driven on the highway with the wind.

These are great for moving/ storing memory foam mattresses. They work best using a shop vac to suck the air out.

Have a TwinXL 14" memory foam mattress. The bag was snug for this size for sure, so snug I didn't think it was going to fit at first. The bed wasn't flat in the bag, it actually had a bow in it to make it fit. I used a high powered shop vac to compress it. It does shrink it 80% the thickness but for sure not what the picture shows. I tried rolling it myself to put the belts on it and that wasn't happening. You will for sure need two people to make this work. I'm waiting for my step son to come over and maybe walk on the bed as I vacuum to see if we can get it down more and have him help me roll it up. I give it a three because it does compress up to 80% but, which I should have known better, it does not look like the pic when done or when you first got your mattress when you first got it in the box. Can be done but you will need help, not a one person job.
