This is a great little welder. I got it for my husband for his birthday. He loves it. He’s just getting started as a hobby, the size is perfect and it’s fairly powerful.

Works amazingly well. I would never have thought you could get that much heat from such a small box. On the down side, the 20 welding rods are pretty much worthless, a few run ok most don't. The included hammer and gloves are fine. The wire brush is trash. For the money, I would recommend the welder.

Amazed me. Worked for stainless steel. Easy to use, tiny, light. Can do pretty hard jobs.

I don’t know much about welding. I got this to weld some exhaust pipes on an old car I’ve been working on. Welding is dangerous. While I love the cost of this item, I wonder if reducing the barriers to entry for such a dangerous activity is a good idea. The item itself is reasonably nice, durable, and convenient to store. The dial for adjustment is easy to use, although could benefit from being bigger (so you don’t have to turn the machine off and take off the gloves to adjust. Just a thought?) It’s pretty powerful for most jobs. The gloves wore a hole rather quickly, and the hammer/brush aren’t that great. Also the electrodes seemed cheaper than I would have wanted. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars.

Awesome product. Easy to adjust and well worth the money. Very inexpensive for what it can do. Obviously your not going to be welding the most seamless beeds in the world (but maybe you could), but it’s a great starter welder and awesome for small personal projects.

Welder works very well for a open box item came with everything pictured and had no issues with it.

Haven't used this a lot yet, but my first day of using it to practice welds and do some minor welding has been great. As others have mentioned, the pos. and neg. cables are just OK. The leather/suede gloves were better than expected, but too small for me (I wear a LG-XL, these are likely MED-LG; so I had to buy ones that fit). Chipping hammer's fine, it'll probably do me just fine until I get better at welding anyway. The wire brush is useless. The sticks/rods are all XG J422, which are apparently a decent overall rod to use, plus they're basically free so perfect to practice welding with. Manual is rather useless, be careful as there is some very bad advice in it, don't use it for setting up the welder, or for welding, look online and/or watch videos for advice. The price is crazy inexpensive IMHO, as I had been looking at much more expensive set ups until I saw this class of stick welders. It's small and lightweight, and even if it only lasts a year I'd be satisfied. I definitely recommend watching some "welding 101" YT videos and take all recommended safety precautions! (Don't weld while wearing shorts or flip-flops! Ask me how I know!)
