New and Improved
I have been a long time MBT wearer beginning over 6 years ago. I have tried many similar types of rocker bottom products from every price point. I walk about 2 hours a day on a combination or road and trail and was a runner for many years before bilateral hip replacements (and the pain prior to surgery 4 years ago), forced me into a walking motion. I always look for good impact control, comfort and stability and have very wide feet- so often the toe box or even just the general fit of a shoe is a challenge. I'm not sure what MBT changed precisely between the 17 and the 18, but these are fantastic- cushion, stability control, fit, and motion are all improved. I walk fast, slow, and do some short gentle jogs during my walks and these are worth the extreme price. I'd rather buy cheap walking clothes and put the budget to the test with these to protect my joints, provide best posture, and a really good workout for my leg muscles. Thanks MBT!

MBTs are the Best! Only ones for me!
Not gonna lie...these are the most comfortable shoes that I have ever owned! This is the 3rd pair I have bought. I have hallucinations rigidus and have been through an osteotomy and chielectomy..unsuccessful, but with these shoes- I can live! I have tried probably over 2 dozen other brands/styles. Even the Hokas- no luck. Only MBT!Wish they made more styles/colors.

Finally an athletic shoe that works for hallux rigidus and 1st MTP fusion!
Due to significant arthritis of the 1st MTP joint (hallux rigidus stage 4) I had to have a bone fusion (with a plate and screws) in my big toe joint. I still have hallux rigidus in my other foot and will be having surgery on that one at a later date.Needless to say it has been a nightmare finding shoes - everything fits differently after the surgery and this, along with the arthritis pain in my other foot, prevents me from wearing any of my old shoes.I soon learned that the best bets for new shoes are ones which have been approved by APMA (American Podiatric Medical Association). They have a list of aproved companies and products at their website APMA.org.This gave me a starting point where to look for quality shoes with good support for my condition.I found the brand Alegria worked very well for me but they did not have a good athletic shoe.I started trying brands of athletic shoes listed at the APMA website including brands such as HOKA One One.Everything seem to be putting to much pressure on my metatarsal joint until I found this pair of MBT shoes.I normally wear a 9 1/2 in athletic shoes but read these run small so I ordered a 10. Not only did they fit perfect but the exaggerated rocker bottom took the pressure off my metatarsal joint! The toe box was wide enough to accommodate the ongoing swelling I am experiencing from my surgery. This was truly an answer to prayer - I was extremely frustrated after trying so many athletic shoes that didn’t work and was just about to give up looking when I saw these. If you find they are out of your size here you can go to the MBT Shoes website and most likely find it there. They are expensive but worth the price for people like me.

Get a size bigger!
I forgot that MBT’s run small. I ordered these in an 8 and I am a 7. They fit perfectly. The design is funky. I love them! I have been wearing MBT’s for 15 years. They really help my back and make my butt toned. Highly recommend!!

Good physiological footwear
This shoe is heavy, which is the reason for 4 stars. I bought these shoes to ease back into running after a plantar plate tear. The shoe description states it will help people with forefoot problems. I believe that statement is true. The shoe is very stiff and forces your foot to just roll forward. My forefoot didn’t have to do any work. The shoes have a high platform and when I step on rocks it feels as if my ankle could turn easily. I would not wear these for trail running, but I am happy to be returning to running on pavement.

Too narrow for my foot
My old MBTs were much wider that these. Although I love my old MBT's these ones were too narrow for my flat foot. I now also havea stress fracture of my ankle so I was really looking forward to these new MBTs, and was very disappointing they were too narrow for me. I even ordered a size larger since they run about a size small in US sizing. I am a 7 US and I ordered a 8 and they were still snug on my feet. Otherwise if someone does not have foot issues it is a show worth trying.

Comfortable shoe for someone on their feet all day
I have multiple issues with my feet including arthritis & bone spurs on the top of both feet. I also work 12 hr shifts in a hospital. My Dr recommended these shoes as they are rocker bottom style & he said MBT was a good brand. This is my 2nd pair of MBT's and I love them. Very comfortable & helps with the pain in my feet. They run a bit small so I would recommend to order a size up. I did like the tongue on the Z17 version better than The Z18.....The 17 had thicker padding which helped with the pain on the tops of my feet better than the Z18.....I like the blue/black but wish this shoe came in more colors. Very comfortable overall!!

Love my MBTs
Wonderful for walking, they really cushion against the pavement or sidewalk, and if you do the MBT walk correctly ( they used to have info on their website, it involves heel to toe and really tightening the glute muscles) there is a nice toning involved even with a simple walk. This is my 5th pair but 2nd in this style, and this is my favorite style so far!
