What kind of expiration date should we expect on the bottle we receive? Maybe too large a bottle to use up in time?

I really don't know when I bought this bottle. When I did, I wished it had been smaller, but I have used it more than I thought. My bottle expired in April of 2013, but I have been using it frequently and it is still performing as expected. I have used this product my whole married life (53 years). I will buy another bottle when this one is gone. but I would still like to find a smaller bottle. No reason except I would just prefer it. This expiration date hasn't seemed to matter.

Does it have to be refrigerated?

No, it does not. The 32 oz bottle usually lasts me about a year, and I've never refrigerated it. Enjoy! (PS: I've been using this product for about 40 years, so I have lots of experience)

This appears to be Gluten-Free, is that correct?

yes correct....Nutrition. The ingredients listed are: caramel, vegetable base (water, carrots, onion, celery, parsnips, turnips, salt, parsley, spices), sodium benzoate (less than .01 or 1% to preserve freshness) and sulfating agents. Since February 2006, the product has been free of any trace of gluten -- corn, wheat or otherwise.
