Absolutely brilliant I would say the best I've ever bought

I gave this to my partner to try out and she found that it was making a very slight crackling noise when attempting to rotate the lock on the back to open these up - I had assumed it was something silly so I tried to twist it and received quite a mild shock from the rose gold metal ring around the lock. Have put it back in it's box, I won't be touching that again. Quite a shame as it does look like quite a nice set of straighteners.

I found this to glide like butter through the hair. It's light and very easy to hold and it's very easy to use, but I would strongly advise to start at the low end of the temperature and slowly increase till you are comfortable. Having a higher temperature can burn into the hair and you'll notice that it then starts to stick. I think this depends all on the quality of the hair. Thin hair = low temp. When adjusting the temperature, this takes effect in less than 30 seconds, but when lowering the temperature, this can take much longer.

To be honest I’m a 40-something bloke who can dream of having hair long enough to straighten, but I got these for my teenage daughter who frankly loves them as they look the business in deep metallic pink and gold. I love them because having done some ‘boring evidence based research’ they do what the big brands do but for a whole lot less money. Dual voltage so you take them on holidays, quick to heat with a digital gauge and most importantly an auto off. Flex is tangle free thanks to the 360 degree swivel to allow the extraordinary whir of hands / straighteners / brush. At the business end there’s smooth gliding non stick plates with a comb guide and infrared light and talk of fancy ions. I’m told this prevents your hair going frizzy like you’ve rubbed a balloon on your head and this is a good thing. So far no issues with quality and surviving teenager abuse. 100% recommended by the ‘future of society’. Also works well on well adults

First of all, this isn't the best pair of straighteners I've ever used, but for the price it's impressive and more than adequate. Added to that, it also offers the ability to straighten your hair, so you're getting two devices in one for a very reasonable asking price. To begin with, you get heat settings that range from 110-230c, you control these using clickable buttons near the centre of the device and a screen shows you the current temperature. It only takes around 30 seconds or so to heat up, which is completely reasonable. The comb/iron design is interesting and I found it did help to some degree, but I also found there were times it pulled my hair slightly, which was uncomfortable compared to other flat-style straighteners I have used. I love the design. The pink really pops and look super pretty on my desk. This might be my favourite aspect of it!

However, I found that the straighteners don't maintain a consistent temperature, which sometimes leads to uneven results. The dual voltage feature is great for travel, but the overall build quality feels a bit flimsy. They're decent straighteners at a good price and get the job done, but there's definitely room for improvement in terms of durability and performance. A solid 3-star product for me.
