Source Naturals Calcium & Magnesium, Amino Acid Complex with Vitamin D-3, 300 MG - 250 Tablets

I’ve been using Source Naturals Calcium & Magnesium with Amino Acid Complex and Vitamin D-3 for a few months now, and I’m very pleased with the results! This supplement has become an essential part of my daily routine. The combination of calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D-3 is perfect for supporting bone health, and the added amino acid complex really helps with overall absorption. Magnesium is an important nutrient for the proper functioning of our bodies. Some of the benefits of Magnesium include contraction and relaxation of muscles along with production of protien. Calcium serves to keep our bone and teeth strong along with the proper functioning of our muscles and nerves. I have been using the Source Naturals brand for several years now and chose this particular product because of my past positive experience with other supplements made by Source Naturals along with the good deal on Amazon. This product contains no preservatives, artificial colors/flavors, or fragrance. I tend to workout a lot and not always get enough of my daily supply of leafy/dark greens, peas/beans, or whole grains. The bottle suggests 1-3 tablets daily with food. I tend to take between 1-2 daily depending how much vegetables/fruits I've eaten. I take my first early in the day. Then I'll take a second one later in the day if I haven't eaten enough of the quality stuff. Overall this product has been easy for my body to process.

This apparently had an immediate beneficial impact. We bought this item and a chelated B complex supplement Integrative Therapeutics - NEW Active B-Complex - 60 veg. caps (FFP) for grandpa. Grandpa immediately felt better and his hair on his head immediately began growing again. Grandpa does not have male pattern baldness, but he had lost almost all of his pate hair, and what remained was white. Within a week many more pate follicles were growing hair. Though less hair than when he was young, grandpa now has 100 or 1000 times more pate hair and it is black again. We have been buying vitamin supplements for grandpa for many years, including calcium, magnesium, D3, B complex, and B-12, and none of those worked like these did. We had been buying the magnesium as the oxide, and the low cost Bs.

After I read a medical article on how badly your body processes calcium carbonate and calcium citrate I went looking for a better supplement that was reasonably priced. Source naturals fit the bill. I take 2 tablets at night (with my other pills). I've had no bad side effects. A great side effect was that I was able to stop taking prescription Vitamin D. I've had problems with Vitamin D blood serum levels all my life (hereditary). I was taking 22000 IU, prescription. After a year of this I was off all prescription D with healthy blood levels. Didn't expect that, but amazing bonus. (I have blood tests every 3-4 months. Don't ever do anything your doctor doesn't tell you to!)

I am sure this is an excellent product, but I threw them away before I even took one. They are HUGE! I already take a number of supplements for Hashimoto's. I need a calcium, but I just can't take these.

Despite the official product image on Amazon and the claim, this is NOT an unbuffered amino-acid chelate product. When the product arrives, look at the ingredients as listed on the back. Both the Calcium and the Magnesium say "amino acid complex". Which basically means, "we're not going to tell you the ingredients because it's only got a small portion of amino acid chelate and the rest is not". This product could be mostly calcium carbonate, magnesium oxide, you name it. Any product that does not clearly state "unbuffered" and clearly state all the precise individual ingredients is not a pure amino acid chelate. For reference, look up the fairly recent lawsuit against Albion Labs for deceptively marketing products adulterated with non-chelated calcium and magnesium as "pure amino acid chelate" products. Don't ever trust these manufacturers again. Read the labels on the back closely when the products arrive, and also look up who now owns the product company.
