The Illustrated Herbiary: Guidance and Rituals from 36 Bewitching Botanicals (Wild Wisdom)

The book itself was brand new and the artwork is vibrant, clear and detailed. Very beautiful! The cards are just as stunning as well, although a little thin compared to most oracle cards I own. This does not detract from the quality of the book though. Not to mention, the quality of the cover with it's shimmery print is just wonderful to see. Whether a wiccan/pagan, or just someone interested in the representation and qualities of certain flora and herbs, I recommend this book. A lot of heart has gone into this! There are other books in this series and over time I aim to own the a whole set.

Excellent book, truly magnificent artwork and print quality ! The cards are perfect, easy to cut out and of truly amazing quality. They come in a protected folder, at the back of the book. Honestly, even if you wanted to , you could never find something to complain about, with this book. Well written, poetic but also informative. I consider myself very lucky to have my own copy , I love it !

This book wasn't exactly what I was expecting...and I am so happy about that. We forget sometimes to actually connect with what we are doing on a soul level. It's all well and good knowing what herb to use for what but when we're just going through the motions is there any point!? Everything about this book is beautiful, from the stunning illustrations to the wonderful descriptions that paint even more beautiful pictures in your head. And an added bonus of the cards which is the awesome finishing touch to a journey of reconnecting with plants and herbs. I wish I could write this review more eloquently, alas I do not have the skills that Maia has so this will have to do.

Absolutely beautiful, i thought it was a book on herbs, and what each herb is for. Its actually more like a tarot book, it comes with cards, and there is readings on each card. There are also rituals. Its by far the most beautiful book and gorgeous pictures.

This book is simply gorgeous. It contains simply breathtaking illustrations coupled with intimate knowledge on all of the most popular herbs. The free oracle cards included are the icing on the cake - I would one hundred percent recommend buying this book and anything written by Maia Toll. Her Crystillary book is coming out next year and I cannot wait.

A visual delight, informative and a useful addition to herbal knowledge

Beautiful illustrations and whimsical notes with symbolism and spiritual info about each plant. Probably not one to be used as an instructional manual but is delightful for the coffee table and to peruse at leisure if you’re this way inclined.

Originally, I bought this book solely because I love the illustrator’s style, and I buy anything that she does. But I have come to love this book for the words and sentiment too. Just a chapter every few days or weeks is like a little shot of much-needed nourishment for my soul. Highly recommended.

I bought the hardcover because I thought this would be a book in which I'd want to underline, highlight, and scribble notes in the margin. NOT going to happen–this book is far too beautiful for that! No attention has been spared, and no corners cut, from producing a truly beautiful, high quality book. The aesthetics are what grab your attention first: the colours, the quality of the paper, the illustrations, and the cards–even the endsheets. In the content, the charming descriptions, ritual suggestions, and the thought-provoking Reflections have the capacity to move one from knowing *about* the herb, to *knowing* the herb. If Maia Toll ever sets her sights on creating another book, I'll be first in line to buy it.

Ho ordinato questo libro a seguito di un consiglio di un'amica. È davvero meraviglioso, belle le immagine, belle le carte, bello il materiale. Se Vi interessa fare o farVi un regalo compratelo perché ne vale davvero la pena.
