My trees have been growing like crazy since we put these in
My trees have been growing like crazy since we put these in! Citrus trees as well as my peach and apple tree. Lots of new growth this springs and a ton of fruit that looks bigger than they ever have! Very pleased and well buy againI understand that the 1-5 star rating is to help both buyers and sellers. Here is a breakdown of how my 1-5 ratings are determined:5-star rating that means that I truly love that product and it has features that put it above and beyond what would normally be expected, and it is something that “wowed” me and I am truly glad I purchased it and would purchase it again. Also I recommend it to everyone and anyone!4-star ratings are items that do exactly as would be expected of the item, is of very good quality, but does not stand out significantly in any way unless I specifically state why it stands out. But all in all, this item is a solid item and is still highly recommended. It just didn’t have the wow factor that my 5 star ratings would have had.3-star ratings are given on items because my feeling about the product is neutral. I do not consider it a negative, but it just did not wow me, or there is nothing of great significance.1 or 2-star ratings are rarely given unless the item is completely worthless and not worth the money, and I am only giving that rating as a warning to others. Some items have received lower ratings because of the way they were made or put together, and it is getting that review because of the quality of the item, which is specifically described in my review. It has to be pretty bad to get these ratings from me!

Easy to use Bulk Pack for my Backyard Orchard
I have a backyard orchard with citrus (oranges, grapefruit, lemon, lime, kumquat), peaches, plums, and grapes. This is my annual bulk-pack go-to-solution for fertilization at the drip-line. My backyard "drip-line" solution tip is to use a narrow shovel to create a cut/slice on two or three sides of each tree - tap the fertilizer spike into the slot I just cut, and with my foot I can close that cut back up. This fertilizes out at the drip line and encourages root growth and development. Doesn't take very much time and is my approach for a quick and easy annual supplemental fertilization routine.

Arrived intact - easy to use for extended feeding
All 70 stakes were intact when I received the package -- I was a bit worried because they are all just stacked in the box on top of each other -- no padding. And the box is heavy too. They hammered into the soft ground pretty easily. On harder ground, I used a wooden stake to create a hole before pounding in the fertilizer. Without that, the first one I tried broke into pieces. We'll see how the trees respond over the summer. I will also use these again in the late Fall to see if that helps the trees bloom and grow fruit better in the Spring. I think the key is getting the spikes into the right root zone of the tree -- at the drip line. That's where most of the feeder roots should be.

Perfect Formula For Home Orchards
I have a Midwest home orchard of around 50 trees, and I've been using these spikes as my spring fertilizer regimen for a couple years now. They are fantastic, and very reasonably priced when you consider how much a pack of five spikes typically costs when purchased from a neighborhood greenhouse or garden center. In addition to the price, I very much appreciate the chemical ratio used to make these spikes. The proportionally low nitrogen content promotes flowering and fruit production instead of foliage and plant mass growth which is ideal for fruit trees of a bearing age. Last season we had our largest apple haul by far thanks in part to these fertilizer spikes!I do have one piece of advice I would offer to anyone new to tree spikes like this: install them after a heavy rain or in early spring when the permafrost has saturated the ground. They can be impossibly hard to drive into dry, packed ground, but fairly easy in moist, soft soil.

Produce Bigger Better Apples
Have been using this product for my apple and cherry trees trees for 3 years and the end result has been tremendous. Better tasting apples and the bing cherries have been almost tasty as those from Washington state! This year in my order, I added fertilizer for other trees and shrubs hoping for same results fuller growth and extra nourishment to help I in case of dry summer. Use it in fall and spring for best results.
