They do grow fast.
I was pleasantly surprised that all of the caterpillars came alive and they all hatched. I even when ordering in the winter. Very well priced for the amount of caterpillars received.

Missing caterpillars
The caterpillars arrived in good condition, but two of the cups contain only 4 caterpillars rather than the five per cup as listed in the item description. No sign of the 2 caterpillars in question, alive or dead.

disappointing product
Why did you pick this product vs others?:bought the 4 cups of caterpillars should have been 40 alive or at least most of them. about 35 were alive upon receipt. only 10 made it to cocoon stage. out of 10 i only have 7 making it to butterfly stage successfully. I have been successfully been doing this for the last 8 years. This is the first time I am really disappointed. Most of the time when it says 5 you get 6 so if 4 survive it is good. I will never buy from this seller again. my grandkids were heartbroken with so many deaths. I do not let them touch the housing only look and observe the stages then set them free. so its not like they messed with them.

Disappointed in my shipment this time around
Ordered 20 cups of caterpillars and only 3 of the cups had live crawling bugs. 2 of the cups got tipped in transit and the food covered the caterpillars which killed them. The remaining cups that we received have very tiny caterpillars that look crusty and some are a little bigger but no longer moving and appear to not be alive. Very disappointed overall

Won’t purchase again.
We ordered the 4 pack and this was the worst batch we’ve ever had. Most of us had caterpillars that barely grew and only 2 or three butterflies emerged from each batch. I know it’s nature, and there are no promises, but I’ll probably go back to the former company we’ve used in the past.

Healthy, all five made it to chrysalis.
All the caterpillars went into chrysalis mode so far. There was enough food, they seem healthy and fat.
