The angles on the side plates are wrong, so the plates do not sit flat on the sides of the Jeep. This is why one must only tighten the screws only after it's in place since there is so much misalignment. For example, with one corner, if no not tightened and all the other bolts tightened, there is a 6" gap from the top to the side piece that requires a pry bar to match up the screws holes. Im worried about it deforming the existing screws on the sides due to the poorly designed angles causing the screws to torque to one side and not be straight on.

I got this for my 18 jeep jl 4 door soft top,, it is built well and heavy duty and easy to install however like i said it went in a soft top SO that means first you'll have to aquire "4" T10 bolts because they aren't included and soft tops do not have them... i never imagined with a soft top but now you get to forget about putting it down because the second problem is and I didn't see it say it anywhere and didn't even think about it but you can not put your beloved soft top down anymore because the shelf won't allow it to fold under itself like these newer tops are made to do anymore...
