I have cricut explore air 2. i put the adapter in with the pen, but the pen doesn't go down far enough to reach the paper. what am i doing wrong?

If you're using a sharpie pen, Ultra, use the adapter marked with a "U", or the light blue one. for fine point, use the adapter marked with a "F", or the pink one. The pen should work with the adapter. I have had no problem. I like using sharpies because I can color the object and the ink does not run. Which is a big problem with the cricut pens.
