A must-have for the Action 5!
I used these on an automotive video shoot out in the South of France, in very bright conditions. These are an absolute must-have for anyone looking to extract the most from their Action 5! The image quality is very good, no colour casting or other negative impacts on picture quality. Super easy to fit, and durable. Definitely recommended!

Cheap replacement front lens element
This style of filter replaces the screw-in lens cover on an Osmo Action 4 or 5 pro (but not the 3). Since the polariser can rotate without unscrewing the circular frame this probably compromises water resistance. However you can place an extra push-on filter on top and still use the Wide/Ultrawide FOVs without/with minimal vignetting - although this second filter won’t restore watertightness. Stacking a couple of ND filters is useful for ultra long exposure times up to the camera’s maximum of 30 seconds for photos and Timelapses. On the other hand, ND filters interfere with electronic video stabilisation which needs to work with sharp video frames taken with shutter speeds of at least 1/200th of a second to remove camera vibration in action shots. A Polariser on a wide angle lens shooting an expanse of blue sky can be problematic because the strength of polarisation of the blue light scattered by the upper atmosphere changes with relative bearing from the sun. Just rotate the polariser to minimise this if it’s a distracting part of your image. Alternatively just buy the non-polarising version of these NDs

Great quality but they clash with the stabilisation
I bought these with high hopes of getting that perfect, cinematic natural motion blur. The plan was to manually lock the shutter speed and use these NDs to control the exposure. Here is the hard truth: The filters themselves are built really well and fit perfectly. However, the Osmo Action 4’s stabilisation system (RockSteady) relies on high shutter speeds to calculate data between frames. As soon as I slowed the shutter speed down to use these filters, the stabilisation couldn't cope and the footage ended up looking jaggy and practically unusable. It’s a shame because the K&F product is flawless—good glass, nice fit. But if you are planning to use them for high-action shots where you need heavy stabilisation, just be aware that the camera tech fights against them.

Does the Job
These filters take the digital edge away from your photograph or your video. Many action cams produce a picture that is over sharpened and difficult to look at as a result. This can be the jitter could be more obvious especially at the quicker shutter speed used by action cams. These mist filters reduce contrast slightly and allow the highlights to bloom into dark areas. The result is that the picture overall looks smoother and less ‘glassy.’ It looks more like a high-quality video than an edgy looking action cam video. The filter doesn’t cause light loss and in fact is dark places it could help because the overall picture appears lightened slightly. Highlights such as lightbulbs and candles flare rather nicely. This is a cheap filter that looks well-made and has the bonus that it screws on rather than push fits on so it’s on securely and will not get knocked off. Although it’s cheap the final result still looks great and the filter has a nice coating in order to keep flares at a minimum. I would love to see K&F produce a ND filter that also incorporates mist filtering because currently we can either use the ND or the Mist but not both together. A great piece of kit at a really good price.

Black mist for osmo action!
I’ve been using the 1/4 Black Mist filter with my DJI Action 5, and it’s been a game-changer for my video quality. The filter adds a cinematic softness to highlights while retaining excellent contrast and detail. It’s especially useful for reducing the harshness of digital footage and creating a more organic, film-like look. What really makes this stand out is how well it pairs with my 1/4 Black Mist on my Sony camera. When I use footage from both setups, the visual consistency is seamless, making post-production much easier. The filter’s build quality is excellent, and it fits securely without adding unnecessary bulk to the compact DJI Action 5. For anyone looking to elevate their content with a touch of cinematic magic, this filter is a fantastic investment. Highly recommended for videographers and hybrid shooters alike!

No waterproof at all
No weather proof so if you use it in wet weather that will leak...

A great addition to my video work
This filter has a very nice effect, softening the highlights to create a more film like look without greatly affecting the mid-tones and shadows. It fits perfectly, by simply screwing into place on my DJI Action 4, so it is easy to swap out now as needed. The optical quality is very good and I managed to grab it on a sale, which made it pretty good value. It looks well made, so it should stand up to the rough and tumble of action camera use. I have to say that removing the original filter was a major challenge, until I learned the hairdryer trick to heat it from the side for about 30 seconds to loosen the original, then I was able to screw in this black diffusion filter without problems. Now it all functions as expected.

They fit really well and the quality feels top notch! It’s simple to use. Does what it was advertised functionality speaking. And worth it imo.

I recently picked up the K&F Concept UV Filter for my DJI Osmo Action 4, and I'm quite pleased with it. The first thing I noticed was how easily it screwed onto my Osmo Action 4; the fit is perfect. I was initially worried about image quality, but the imported optical glass truly doesn't seem to affect it at all. I've been filming in various conditions, and the multi-layer coatings do a great job of reducing glare and flare, which is a huge plus. It's also reassuring to know my lens is protected from dust, scratches, and even the occasional splash, thanks to its waterproof and oil-proof design. The filter is so lightweight that I don't even notice it's there, and it doesn't affect the camera's performance or stability. I've used it while filming my TRX-4M adventures, and the footage is crisp and clear. For anyone looking for reliable protection and enhanced image quality for their Osmo Action 4, I'd definitely recommend this filter. It gives me peace of mind knowing my camera lens is safe.

I ordered these globally and waited two weeks for the so-called “For DJI Action 5 Pro” filters to be delivered, thinking that my first ND filter order from K&F, which generally fits both the Action 4 and 5 Pro, would work. Yet, they claim these were made specifically for the Action 5 Pro—turns out, they’re exactly the same! I am deeply disappointed… You can clearly see the corners of the lens in recorded videos when using the wide or ultra-wide aspect ratio. It seems as if they were originally made for the Action 4. I can confidently say that I have both versions: one labeled “For DJI Action 4 and 5 Pro” and another labeled “For DJI Action 5 Pro.” AND THEY ARE BOTH THE SAME. VERY DISAPPOINTED, K&F! I HAD HIGH HOPES FOR THESE FILTERS.

I'm still learning how these work but mechanically they are in perfect condition, great alternative to the freewell all day pack
