Works well if you have the G29! Probably won't if you don't! Clamps easily to a desk or if you have a racing chair setup mount. Shifting's fine - not super-crisp, but you know what gear you're in and where you're going. For the price, it's a great option. Keep your eyes on the road!

Works great with my G923, which uses the same 9-pin connector as the G29 and G920. The action is fairly lightweight and more arcade-like than realistic, but the official one is similar. You get a moderate tactile feel while going slowly, but it can become vague when you're flying through the gears. On the plus side, the centering spring is decently strong. The device attaches to your desk/rig with a single plastic clamp. It feels secure enough, but the design is somewhat odd in that the clamp only loosely hooks onto the casing. Not a big deal, but you need to pay attention while unscrewing the clamp else it can fall to the floor. I'm not sure why it doesn't just snap firmly into place, as it's not like this unit has any alternative mounting options (such as being bolted on). All in all, this is a decent entry-level gearbox, good for casual players and those just getting into the sport. Four stars.

It works with my Logitech G29 wheel and fit my wheel stand as well. I can't compare to OEM, but the shifts are good enough. They don't compare well to a real manual transmission, but that might not be a fair comparison considering the price. I'm able to store the whole unit together and keep it connected for use anytime I'm ready to play. Mostly used for Grab Turismo and Assetto Corsa Comp.

It is way out dated. You need a nine prong to hook the thing up and nine prongs won’t hook up to the new technology, so you can not hook it up to your gaming device. My grandson was very disappointed in it. He loved the dear shifter, just not the way it is so out dated.
