30ft Retractable Metal Cord Reel w/3 Outlets - 10amp

This is a must-have for any garage! I have always hated fighting with extension cords: untangling them, running around corners, untying knots, etc. This product solves those problems. It is a VERY high quality product, not cheap plastic. My dad has had one in his garage for about 10 years now. I finally got one for my garage and I love it. The cord is long enough for most uses. I can plug in my shop vac and clean out my car across the driveway pretty easily with this. Also, the unit attaches to the garage ceiling (to a wood beam, NOT to the drywall), feels very sturdy, and plugs into a very convenient plug next to the garage door opener. If you don't have an automatic garage door opener, or yours is wired directly without an outlet next to it, you might want to mount this on the wall instead. The small cord for plugging the unit in is only about 1'-1.5' long. It would kind of defeat the purpose if you had to use an extension cord to plug in your extension cord. Overall, I would recommend this product to anyone. It can be a little difficult to install, but once it is mounted, you will love it! The instructions are very easy to follow, so if you can't do it yourself you can ask the neighbor's kid instead.

I have purchased 2 of these retractable extension cords over time for my garage and have found they are very reliable and work very well for the price. You can buy these retractable cords for much more money, but these work fine. I have had zero issues with mine and find them extremely useful with projects in an around my garage. Great product.

I bought this in 2014 and it's still used weekly in my garage. The red power indicator LED has burnt out and the outlet plugs have gotten pretty loose, but it's still running strong after over 11 years.

This was my second purchase of this reel and it works great. I've had the first one for several years and have had no issues. I bought a second one for an additional reel in my shop. This new one has a better cord stopper than the first one I bought which is nice, so they have made some improvements over the years.

So nice to have an extension cord at.the ready! At first I didn't understand how the retraction of the cord worked. But I figured out there are latches on only parts of the reel, so you need to pull until you don't hear the latches, and then it will reel back in. Don't pull it all the way out - it is pretty difficult to reel back in. But so far it is working great! Installed easily, and I love the multiple outlets and cord stop.

These work great for a while but do NOT last. Both units I had failed where the cable would either not retract or not come out. Absolute garbage.

I love this, it makes working in the shop so much less hassle. I mounted this to my ceiling and adjusted the ball to a point at which I can reach it without a stool. Keeps the cord out of my feet, reels itself up and out of the way when I’m done. No more stupid extension cords and maneuvering around stuff to find outlets. The indicator light to show that it has power is also a nice touch.

This is a simple and inexpensive tool for wire management in your garage. It's very easy to install to a garage rafter and the length of cord that hangs down is adjustable with the black ball which is held in place by friction, but can be moved up/down pretty easily. I don't need this to run industrial equipment, but simply to operate a shop vac, chop saw, etc., on occasion. For basic home and garage use, this is a great item. No more hassles of organizing and untangling extension cords for me!

Great product. Product has some heft to it, it feels like quality material when using it so I'm not worried about being electrocuted. Pros: Decent length to get 10ft outside my garage, Good quality build, pulls out and retracts easily and smoothly Cons: The mounting screws are so cheap and snapped during install. Do yourself a favour and put this up with some lag bolts. Pro Tip: Add a leash to the black bracket that's attached to the yellow body. I used a heavy gauge wire tie to secure it to the metal hangers of the garage door motor as insurance to catch it from falling onto a vehicle.

Works great. Received it quickly. It is exactly as pictured (including the mounting braket). Did not measure the length of the cord however it is more than enough for my 24' garage. I installed it in the center of the garage and plugged it into the same outlet as my garage door opener. I am verty pleased with this item.

We love this thing -- makes it easy to have extension cords handy but out of the way in the garage. We have a small double garage with two relatively big vehicles and this lets us keep extension cords off the wall (or floor), but available to use from any angle and any part of the garage. Great price too!

Delivery was fast, I read all the instruction and mounted it to my12 ft ceiling, talk about the perfect extension to reach all over my garage.....no more looking for extensions......

This thing doesn't retract well, and it doesn't lock. I can hear the clicking where it's *supposed* to lock, but it just doesn't. Then when I go to retract it, it's like the thing has no retraction strength. Works so-so for the first 5-10 feet if I have the cable all out, but after that good luck. I had to rig up an attachment so I could spool the cord near it. Useless for what I wanted. If I had the original packaging still I'd return it. Poor quality - feels like cheap tin.
