French Avenue Essence De Blanc EDP 100ml

Imagine you’re staying at a 5 star luxury hotel in Europe, one of those places where old money people go, and the room’s scent is the same as the French milled soap custom made for the hotel, and that’s what this fragrance smells like. The opening and the first 5 minutes is misleading, but once it settles, it’s predominantly regal citrus notes (think neroli and bergamot), mixed with fresh black tea, and slight hint of powder floral (rich person’s garden). Definitely unisex, refreshing and great for 3 seasons (not winter). It’s not 1 to 1 dupe of LV Imagination, but it’s along the same line with its own unique style. Blind buy worthy!

8.5/10 Clean & Earthy Disclaimer: Not everyone is going to like this right off the rip. With the dry down and a few test runs you’ll enjoy the appeal. Known for being a similar fragrance to LV Imagination. This is Black tea forward on the initial spray and can be hard for most to enjoy without knowing the scent beforehand. You can also sense something else in the mix, which you’ll find out to be the Citron, Orange, and Ginger. These are a little harder to pick up on the nose. On to the best part of this fragrance, the dry down is So Clean. Soapy and earthy scent. This is just really nice when you need something to put on. I do recommend this for anyone’s collection as it is arguably ONE OF THE MOST VERSATILE fragrances you’ll find. There is no denying a clean scent can go anywhere. Of course there is a downside. This lasts close to 3hrs on me. It’s not very strong on dry down either. The projection is not there. For this reason, my rating should be lower but the scent does make up for all the low spots.

Essence de Blanc is an amazing fragrance, especially if you like LV Imagination. It has a similar DNA but leans more into a tea note, giving it an even fresher, cleaner feel. Very soapy, crisp, and smooth the kind of scent that just smells expensive. Longevity is impressive and it stays fresh throughout the day. Perfect for everyday wear or when you want something clean but elevated

Man...this stuff absolutely slaps. I have to preface my review first with that I am a sucker for any fragrance with a well done tea note and this absolutely checks that box. I know EDB often gets grouped in or compated to LV Imagination but that's really only because of the black tea note. They are two very different scents in my opinion. Imagination gives you that luxury soap fresh vibe with a black tea note whereas EDB gives you a more citrus white floral note with the same black tea note. It's sweet without being sweet if that makes any sense lol. The floral note is prominent in the opening with the black tea bringing up the rear but the dry down is where it is at though. The white floral/citrus and black tea note sort of blend into one smooth clean scent. Man it is such a banger. Word of warning though like most if not all middle eastern scents this one needs a little shelf time to mature but it absolutely gets better with time. For the price this will always have a constant spot in my collection.

The quality really matches the price of what you paid for. I ordered it because apparently its a dupe of LV Im. And I definitely wasnt disappointed. Its a 90-95% close up to it. Also Full House being at that same percentage. Both have a great performance and longevity. But not as the original. What I do love about the Blanc. Is its smell of the Black Tea. For those not familiar w/ black tea. It might be a bit hard to get into it but it is definitely a beautiful smell. Definitely an amazing and clean luxurious soapy, fresh scent. Definitely would buy again

Ultimately, this fragrance is very nice. It does take a few weeks to mature after initial sprays to become much more balanced and perform as expected. The first hour or so, there is a “green”, earthiness that is very strong, making it somewhat off-putting. I wonder if the black tea and neroli aren’t the cause. Both are definitely, earthy. The notes on Fragrantica are wrong as they are printed on the bottle. It does subside but never really goes away. But, that’s ok, it’s meant to be there… just not so “in your face”! The rest of the journey is a beautiful. It smells expensive. Very spring and summer worthy. Performance is average to above average for its category. Bottle is beautiful.

Not hard to IMAGINE the inspiration of this. Does improve a bit with time but great out the box. Very black tea forward but settles into a nice soapy citrus tea scent
