GARANT AP139KDR Alpine 14-Inch Poly Blade Snow Shovel, Assorted colors

I love this shovel but I had no idea it came with 3 feet of snow!!! Seriously though, this winter was horrible and I'm glad I bought this early in the season. This shovel lays very nicely on the ground so works great for shoveling pavement and grass/dirt surfaces. If you use your shovel for grassy areas this can't be beat. It shovels a large path and moves lots of snow but is easily maneuverable. High quality handle and durable plastic. I expect to have this shovel for years. (unfortunately!!!) *Update* I just broke this shovel today. And it was completely my fault. I would turn it upside down occasionally to scrape snow and I caught some hard ice and it cracked. 8 years out of a shovel I paid 32 dollars for is pretty amazing. I just ordered a different model from Garant because I found the 30 inch blade picked up a lot of snow and I just have the back for it anymore. NPM18KD is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Amazon, these are not available locally.

I have had this same shovel for 15 years. It finally broke a couple of years ago due to abuse, pushing on the top of it with my foot to get under hard snow or ice. In my judgment, the molded plastic on this is very sturdy. The breaking of the previous one was wholly due to my abuse. This type of shovel is great for clearing 1 to 4 inches of snow on a paved drive way, wide enough to make a difference but not so wide as to catch too much snow. While the price may seem high for what one might expect to pay for a snow shovel in stock at a physical store, I simply haven't seen one in a store for a long time. A great aspect of Amazon is that one can purchase this shovel without all the running around to physical stores to find one. Even if I had found one, the cost of running around would have been greater than any price premium. Also, the handle on the new shovel is fatter, which makes it more comfortable on the hand when pushing snow.

Very disappointed we been using this shovel for the last couple years and the quality used to be really good we have a snow removal business so use this a lot this last order that we did we got a complete different shovel than before the handle is really heavy and the bottom part is so loose that I think we are going to be really lucky if they last us the first couple storms before breaking the yellow shovel is the one that we always got and they send the red one completely different item

I ordered this snow shovel to replace the one I wore out last year. It arrived almost a week early and required some assembly which was easy. At first I was worried because the unit delivered was red, not yellow as described and as my previous versions had been. Thankfully when I compared to my previous snow shovel it was dimensionally the same, just red in color. I don't know why my local Ace Hardware did not stock these in 2025, but suspect it might be because of the crazy tariffs on Canada. Anyway I paid quite a bit more than last year to obtain a replacement for my favorite Garant snow shovel. I have tried every other make and model of snow pusher/shovel and none of them are as easy to use. This one works well on my concrete driveway - it just glides over the surface - and is sufficient for a light snowfall of a couple inches - anything more I will run my snow blower. As noted I fully expect to wear down the blade here in Colorado snow country in one season and wish I could buy a replacement blade each year. After having used this shovel a few times, I notice the red blade seems to be a stronger, stiffer material, so maybe it will not wear out as quickly. I still works well for my concrete driveway.

Revised to 5 stars after using the snow pusher 2 winter seasons. It is sturdy, light and pushes 1-2" snow with ease. Very good with higher snow drifts but as you know, that is hard to push - so it's a fine shovel too. It leaves a slight film of snow on CONCRETE driveways because it does not have a steel blade on the edge. When I unpacked it I read the sticker that said it was "Perfect for WOOD and INTERLOCK surfaces". If they said this on the online description I would have bought the Garant with a steel blade. I need it for a concrete driveway not a wood patio where a metal blade would scratch the surface. My past poly blades get worn and chipped with concrete & asphalt surfaces but the Garant is still in great shape. It is well made and comfortable to use. Garant sells other models with a steel blade on the edge, look for that one if you want a steel edge.

I was on the hunt for THE snow shovel when I decided to take a chance on this one and let me tell you, THIS is the ultimate shovel for Canadian winters. Metal blade? Check ✅ Extra large capacity? Check ✅ No wobbling of the handle? Check ✅ Strong and sturdy build? Check ✅ The pictures are comparing this shovel (yellow scooper) vs the one I had been using before buying this new one and I think it’s pretty obvious that the new one holds a much greater quantity of snow. I shoveled my driveway upon delivery and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it got the job done! No, it’s not an ergonomic design but for a plain and simple, good old shovel, it’s absolutely perfect! 👌🏽 Could compete against other 100$ + shovels and probably take the win 🏆 I would give this shovel 6 stars ⭐️ if I could, that’s how much I am satisfied with my purchase. I would most definitely recommend buying this item if you are looking for something sturdy, durable and, most of all, performant. 👌🏽

the yellow lastic bucker feel like a knock off from dollard store..i use garant shovel for 20 years and this one feel like a fake..but winter is here and i need a shovel..soo will keep it..but damm it feel cheap

The head of the shovel (not the handle) is wobbly. I tried fixing it with elbow grease, but it just doesn't sit right. A week after receiving this, I saw the exact same model (18 inch "mountain mover") in a hardware store for half the price. I tested each of the 5 identical models they had and none of them had wobbly heads.

Much prefer a snow shovel that does not have a metal edge. Very disappointed…not even using it. Sad!
