Perfect!!
Worked exactly as promised! Perfect size made short work of removing a stripped out grip screw without damaging my grips on my 1911.

Awesome tool
Works great! Wish I knew about these years ago! Have removed multiple screws that I previously would have drilled out.

Without a doubt, perfect for professional use.
Having been a tradesman for decades now and more recently opening my toolbox up to upgrades and new ideas to be more efficient and effective, rather than stubborn. Having the, "Forget your fancy tools, my bucket of random hand tools collected over the years including not only a pair of overly worn Channel Lock pliers, a dual head mallet with a cracked handle, measuring tape that needed to be thrown out five years ago, universal screwdriver missing half the bits, bent needle nose, a Basic as basic can get utility knife and 'ol trusty. (A 24oz framer that probably weighs closer to 30oz) among other things, I ran my mouth a little too much, stating that I could do more with a bucket of tools than the younger hot shot foreman could do with his entire truck. I found myself needing to do a little upgrading. I won't mention other brands in the review but i'm sure you can find them from my profile or something as I slowly review the winners and losers. Let me tell you about these Vampliers! The name caught my eye, importing from the Land of the Rising Sun was a turn off BUT can J-A-PAN make the most amazing pliers you've ever wrapped your chicken chokers around! From first touch you can FEEL the quality, over ANY AND ALL your typical brands you can buy your Red Millwonkies, black and yellow bumble bee brand for the bros, Hooskies, Crapsman, ChanelSmock, etc etc etc.....the ONLY comparable pliers come by Klein and yet, they're not even close. You'd swear they were custom sized for your meat hooks, even I could preform delicate maneuvers with these babies! After using this particular pair for a week, I tossed all my old pliers and splurged on the full set. Now you won't be doing this as a DIYer unless you're trying to show off how much money you spent on tools that you'd never know the difference between cheap crap and amazing devices as such, apprentice? Keep dreaming buddy, in a decade or two once you pay your dues. Old dog looking for new tricks? Want to carry less in your bag/bucket but be able to accomplish more with each tool. Spend the dollars, the ONLY way you'll regret it is if you lose a pair and need to buy them again. Prone to leaving pliers or smaller tools behind? Put a leash on them, don't give these to some dim witted home owner who will toss them into a plastic fisher price tool box to never see the light of day again. Oh, and yeah, they'll extract rounded and damaged screws and bolts. Now now all you reviewers that 'did not work' lets tamper our expectations. You have to have enough head to grab onto first and most importantly the hand strength to grip the pliers and fastener......all those on line discussions and lattes maybe haven't given you the proper tools to use......the proper tools with, if these did not work for you, the problem most likely can be found at the end of the pliers, but before the chair. These are perfectly and amazingly made.

Surprisingly Useful for Stripped Screws
These pliers worked really well for removing stripped screws that a normal screwdriver couldn’t grab anymore. The jaws grip the screw head firmly and make it much easier to back stubborn screws out without a lot of frustration. The build quality feels excellent and they have a solid, precise feel in the hand. You can tell they’re well made. Overall, a very handy tool to keep around if you work on projects where stripped or rusted screws occasionally show up.

OK, but could be better
These work ok, but after removing 20 #10 x 3” deck screws, the jaws are visibly beat up. The metal obviously isn’t hard enough, but for the price they work fine. Vice grips are a better option, but don’t fit in tight places as good as these.

The solution to stripped screw heads. These pliers lock on and don't let go until you want them to.
After many years of steadfast reliability I can confidently recommend these pliers. Their jaws are very good at gripping stripped out screws as well as many other tasks. The jaws have held up amazingly well over the years and I highly recommend you add these to your tool arsenals.

These work excellently
Even a very flat screw head, stripped because the threads were so stuck-- the Vampliers clamped and took it straight out. Definitely keeping this in my tool bag.

Klare Kaufempfehlung

I saw these advertise in a magazine and found them on Amazon. Great for gripping mangled screwheads, avoiding the need to drill the screws out. When you need them, you need them, not your normal pliers.

Heard the engineer brand was essentially the same, but the equivalent engineer didn't have the cap. Ordered these and the larger engineer model. They are both fantastic and are my new favorite tools. I managed to get a very stuck bbq screw off with a combination of both of them, but the second screw required my oscillating tool. So they won't magically open every rusted annoying screw. That said they are great for a bunch of purposes and ignore the reviews that say they are equivalent to dollar store pliers. These are heavy duty tools. That look and feel great and serve a unique purpose. I'm keeping both as one really needs both sizes. Highly impressed. Think the larger vampliers are probably overpriced. But they are worth it. Note. The engineers and these are so similar that I don't think they are a copy. I think they are made in the same factory. Like identical in design. Either brand is a good choice.
