We bought a bread maker a few years ago - liked the results, but always struggled to cut thin enough slices - net result, the bread maker got stored away and not used. Problem is, when buying sliced bread, you seem to only be able to get this terrible thick stuff that we personally hate. So the bread maker comes out and we try AGAIN. Having bought various 'gadgets' that claim to make slicing bread a 'doddle' (and also having consigned these to the store cupboard or the recycling centre), the time came to just buy a decent knife and get on with the job! . THIS KNIFE IS EXCELLENT! No other way to describe it - it is razor sharp and we find it very easy to cut nice thin slices of bread, even when the bread is freshly baked and still warm. The handle, though made from resin/plastic is very sturdy and comfortable and the knife itself we find well balanced - the blade is non stick, quite long and therefore great for slicing larger loaves. After reading other reviews and still being hesitant to buy at first, this knife has been a real game changer and is highly recommended to anyone - just be really careful when using, cleaning and storing it away, as it is absolutely RAZOR sharp! - but then again - that's what you need it to be, isn't it?

Long long blades mean that you can chop off pretty much anything big so easily . I had tried a watermelon and sourdough breads . Allright . This one is awesome. It doesn’t look super sharp but it is pretty good to cut them off . No struggle and feeling pro . Soft design but mighty . Doesn’t scare me to handle . Unless you pull it it won’t cut your finger off . No accident expected. Good buy .

Bought this after reading review online (not on Amazon - magazine review) and it cuts through any soft or sourdough loaf so well. Allows you to keep slices even and no squashing of the loaf to cut slices

Well if you want to buy a knife that cuts bread like slicing through butter then this is your go to answer. Had a few knives in the past and we normally go for price but decided to try this out. Currently selling for £18.95 on Amazon it is not the most expensive out there and if like us we are not proffesional cooks but like having the tools for the job when required you need a knife that cuts. I was very worried about how sharp it might be after seeing a few reviews with photos of fingers wearing plasters. Yes it is sharp and it will bite you if treated with disrespect. We have new rule in our kitchen now and that is to never leave this knife hidden in a soapy washing up bowl. It will lie at the bottom of the bowl waiting for its prey and yes thats your fingers. Basically yes it does the job of cutting bread brilliantly, we get about two more slices out of a home made loaf due to being able to cut more thinly and accurately. Be aware though !!

Great knife, lightweight cuts bread with ease. one problem the sheath of the knife is too big.

We recently got a bread machine and so needed a good bread knife to help us cut nice neat and even slices without the bread tearing or squashing. This does the job really easily. The blade is very sharp and it makes it almost effortless. It is far better than our previous bread knives that came as part of sets. The guard it comes with is nice and sturdy too - good to protect both the blade and fingers when it is not in use.

Did a lot of research on bread knives before purchasing this. We have some other Kuhn Rikon knives which are very good so went for this. Very pleased with the product- great blade length and the serrated blade makes easy work of baguettes and sourdough loaves.

Extremely sharp, thin, non-sticking and controlable bread knife. Cuts through hard crusty bread effortlessly and leaves a tidy cut through the bread with no chunks taken out. Do not put a lot of pressure on the knife to cut, let the blade do the work gently.

My husband's favorite hobby is making sourdough bread. For Christmas I thought I'd honor his talent by gifting him a bread knife. Wow! He loves it. The knife really delivers. The knife is long enough to span his round artisan loaves. It's very sharp and slices through the bread like it's butter. No crumbs or dough stick to it. It cleans like a dream. The knife cover protects us from accidentally cutting ourselves when it's sitting there on the cutting board out on the counter. It's bread-cutting perfection.

Es precioso y además versátil

El producto en estos días que lo he usado se siente bueno, excelente afilado y tamaño, corta sin problemas, y el material se siente bueno. Lo único que haría DESTACAR es que de las 3 semanas que iba a tardar en llegarme, se convirtió en casi dos meses, de hecho ya me habían dado por perdido el producto. Recomiendo revisar que tipo de paqueterías se usan para el envío de los productos. Pero estoy consiente que no depende del proveedor por eso doy 5 estrellas.

increible, es mucho mejor de lo que esperaba, corta el pan como si fuese mantequilla, creo que podría cortar cualquier cosa por dura que fuese, la funda para guardar la sierra es fundamental porque realmente es peligroso mantener el cuchillo sin protección y menos con las dimensiones que tiene. La entrega como siempre a tiempo y sin ningún problema, merece la pena pagar un poco más por un cuchillo como éste, pero la diferencia de calidad compensa con creces.
