Perfect helper for everyday cleaning
I’ve been using the Narwal Freo Z10 Ultra for some days, and I’m very happy with this purchase. It really helps me to keep my apartment clean every day. First of all, the cleaning performance is excellent. The suction is very strong and easily picks up dust, crumbs, and hair. The self-cleaning base station is a big plus. The mop washing and drying work well, and it really reduces how often you need to interact with the robot. Once it’s set up, it feels almost fully hands-off. But, of course, it doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t clean and wash the water container. After every 3-4 cleaning you need to change water. The robot requires a little more time to understand its setup system, especially when creating the virtual map of your home and setting cleaning zones. It’s not difficult, just not something you want to rush. Take your time during the first mapping run. And make sure to remove all the protective films from every camera and sensor. Some of them are very hard to notice, especially on the cameras. Double-check that they’re all removed. I saw this tip in another review and did it. I like its navigation. It avoids furniture well, doesn’t randomly bump into walls, and handles obstacles. It works exactly the way you program it. You can choose vacuum only, mop only, or run vacuuming and mopping one after another, all controlled through the app. The virtual map is very flexible. You can block off no-go zones, close specific areas, and decide where the robot should or shouldn’t go. It follows those rules consistently. For example, if you add curtains or sensitive areas to the virtual map, the robot actively avoids them instead of pushing through. Also, everything for cleaning is in the package, like bags, mops, filters, and special liquid for washing floors. Of course, this isn’t a replacement for deep cleaning, but it’s an excellent helper for everyday maintenance. It keeps floors consistently clean between deeper cleanings and significantly reduces how often you need to do manual vacuuming and mopping.

Amazing Cleaning system!!
Narwal Freo Z Ultra: A Feature-Packed Cleaning Powerhouse with a Premium Price Tag The Narwal Freo Z Ultra is not just another robot vacuum and mop combo; it's a complex cleaning system aiming to redefine hands-free floor care. Boasting an impressive array of features, including dual RGB cameras and chips for AI-powered obstacle avoidance, a massive 12000Pa suction power, and intelligent self-cleaning and emptying capabilities, it's clear Narwal is aiming for the top tier. But does it live up to the hype and justify its premium price point? Let's dive in. Unmatched Cleaning Performance: The 12000Pa suction is genuinely powerful, effortlessly lifting dirt, dust, and pet hair from hard floors and carpets. The mopping system is equally impressive, utilizing adaptive hot water to thoroughly clean and sanitize floors. AI-Powered Obstacle Avoidance: The dual RGB cameras and dedicated chips provide exceptional obstacle avoidance. The Freo Z Ultra navigates around furniture, cables, and even pet messes with remarkable accuracy, minimizing the risk of getting stuck. Exceptional Self-Cleaning & Emptying: The base station is a marvel of engineering. It automatically washes and dries the mopping pads with hot water, eliminating the need for manual cleaning after each cycle. The self-emptying dustbin can hold weeks' worth of debris, further reducing maintenance. Real-Time Decision Making: The AI doesn't just avoid obstacles; it also learns and adapts to your home's layout and cleaning preferences. It can intelligently adjust cleaning power and mopping intensity based on floor type and dirt levels. Quiet Operation: Despite its powerful suction, the Freo Z Ultra operates surprisingly quietly, especially on lower power settings. This is a significant advantage for those with sensitive ears or young children. User-Friendly App: The Narwal app is intuitive and feature-rich, allowing users to customize cleaning schedules, create virtual boundaries, monitor cleaning progress, and even remotely control the robot. The Narwal Freo Z Ultra is a truly impressive robot vacuum and mop combo that delivers exceptional cleaning performance and unparalleled convenience. Its advanced features, including AI-powered obstacle avoidance, powerful suction, and intelligent self-cleaning capabilities, make it a top contender in the premium robot vacuum market. However, its high price tag and bulky base station may be deterrents for some. If you're looking for the ultimate hands-free cleaning experience and are willing to invest in a premium product, the Narwal Freo Z Ultra is definitely worth considering. But for those on a tighter budget or with limited space, there are other excellent robot vacuum and mop combos available at a lower price point. Who is it for? Tech enthusiasts who appreciate cutting-edge technology. Busy individuals who want a truly hands-free cleaning experience. Pet owners who need powerful suction to combat pet hair and dander. Those with larger homes who want a robot that can efficiently clean multiple rooms. Final Verdict: A powerful and intelligent cleaning solution with a premium price tag. If you can afford it and have the space for the base station, the Narwal Freo Z Ultra is a fantastic investment in a cleaner and more convenient home.

We purchased the Narwal Freo Z Ultra to replace our iRobot i7 on the main floor of our house (1700 sqft). This floor is mostly LPV with a few rugs here and there. I had very low expectations for the quality of the mopping, so we were hoping to get at least the same performance from this device as the i7 when it came to vacuuming and keeping the dog hair and dirt to a minimum between cleanings. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that it did that and more. Setup was easy, and the base station was obviously well thought out. I had some issues defining the rooms I wanted, as our space is very open and rooms are often delimited by furniture rather than walls. But the app has a number of different ways to work around that using no-go zones and manual mapping options. The device and base station have a modularity to them that's similar to the iRobot products, so it is easy to replenish and replace accessories and parts, either on their OEM site or here on Amazon. The capabilities can even be upgraded by installing an alternate detergent reservoir for spot cleaning solution, or even an automatic fresh and waste water management system. Scheduling and job monitoring are easy to use, but we struggle with some base station issues that are not clearly pushed to the app. For example, you currently do not get notified when the base station has run out of fresh water or if the wastewater is full. You are simply notified that a scheduled job cannot start, and usually it's not until the job has timed out and has been cancelled for being paused for too long. There are rumblings that this will be fixed in future app updates, but we've just got into the habit of checking water levels on a regular basis. Our i7 has officially been demoted to basement duty, and it's most likely that when the next major part needs replacing on it we'll probably replace it with another Narwal (It's on its last legs due to a deep clean and refit after an unfortunate run-in with a dog mess). Speaking of cleanup, the device is as easy to keep clean as our i7, but don't forget to pull out the mop head cleaning tray and clean on a regular basis. It does such a good job mopping that this tray gets really dirty and full of material (especially pet hair). We forgot to clean it after a month of daily mopping jobs and it needed it. Pros: - Great app, easy to set up - Mopping function is as good as vacuuming - Lots of options for replacement parts and enhancements - Quiet (compared to i7, even when set on enhanced suction) - Easy to clean - Doesn't just avoid obstacles, it maps them and has pictures - Cool security roaming mode that sends pictures of waypoints to the app - Object avoidance is more sophisticated, so it's gentler on our house Cons: - Base station notifications are limited, and you often miss them unless you are standing next to it - OEM replacement parts are available, but seem expensive - Room mapping in the app can be tricky to get right in open areas

I’ve owned a few robot vacuums before, but this Narwal is in a completely different league. The AI obstacle avoidance is incredible — it identifies objects instantly and even gives a safe buffer around furniture and pet toys. Mapping the house was quick and easy, and the app made setup a breeze. The vacuum is both silent and surprisingly fast as it moves around. It detects dirtier areas automatically and scrubs them more thoroughly, which I find super helpful with daily messes. One full bottle of clean water gets me about 700 sq ft of mopping before it needs a refill, which is perfect for my space. The self-emptying base is a game-changer — hot-water mop washing, drying, and dust bag storage means I barely have to touch it. The suction is powerful, the brush never tangles, and it really shines in edge and corner cleaning. A neat bonus: when it’s running in the dark, the dual cameras turn on a little light, and it looks so cool — almost like the robot has its own set of binocular “eyes.” Overall, this is hands-down the best robot vacuum I’ve used. It’s quiet, fast, intelligent, and takes care of both vacuuming and mopping without a hassle. Worth every penny!

Post service update: Received a replacement base station after 25 days. Now I am unable to connect the vacuum to the new base station. Tried all troubleshooting steps and even contacted support. Looks like im looking at another service ticket. At this point I would not recommend this company to anyone. It worked great while it did but reliability of products actually make or break a company name. I can do without all the bells and whistles but longevity is my priority over the rest. Thankfully I haven’t got rid of my old iRobot J9+. Back to the old reliable workhorse. ————————————————————— 4 month update: The base station has already developed an issue this early on around the clean water tank. I get an error 2006 and it doesn’t seem to pull water from the clean water tank. After trying all the troubleshooting steps from Narwal customer care, I have been asked to send the base station in for service. Two things put me off here. 1. It’s too early in the lifecycle of this pricey $2000 product to develop this sort of issue. My 2 yr old iRobot j9+ is still going strong with zero issues. 2. I could have been offered a replacement base unit without the hassle of sending this for “service” as it’s well within warranty. Looking through forums the service can take a couple of weeks. Shall update further after my experience with the “service”. Taking a star ⭐️ off. —————————————————————— Great vacuum robot however spare parts are hard to find. Even though there are non-ORM options available out there, the original parts are hard to come by even on their official website. E.g. you shall find that the replacement roller brush, replacement insert bin, dust bin filters cannot be purchased separately. Instead you shall be offered the pricier combo pack which you may not need. This is clearly a way to fleece money off the customers. It’s a similar issue with Roborock brand. The after market accessories are mostly incompatible.

As a mom of 4, anything that saves me time and energy is a win in my books, and the Narwal Freo Z10 Ultra has definitely been a game-changer in my house. Between the kids, crumbs, spills, and constant foot traffic, keeping the floors clean can feel impossible, but this robot vacuum/mop combo really steps up. Everyone was a part of assembling this robot and as a team we did. The suction power (18000Pa!) is no joke; it actually picks up the mess instead of just dragging it around. I also love that it does both vacuuming and mopping, and the hot water wash with self-emptying means I’m not constantly stopping to maintain it. The dual RGB cameras with AI avoidance are impressive. I’ve watched it carefully maneuver around toys, shoes, and even stray socks that usually trip up other vacuums. I will say I’m still figuring out the app. The mapping is super quick (2–3 minutes), which is great, but I’m still learning how to customize and adjust things to my liking. Once I fully get the hang of the app, I think it will be even more powerful. Overall, it’s been a huge help in my busy household, cutting down my cleaning time and giving me one less thing to stress about. If you’re a parent juggling kids and chaos, this little helper is worth it.

The robot vacuum and mop combo has completely transformed how I clean my home. This isn’t just a vacuum—it’s a smart, powerful, and reliable cleaning partner. The suction power (18,000 PA!) is incredible, leaving my carpets and hard floors spotless every time. The dual RGB cameras and AI avoidance are top-notch—it easily recognizes obstacles, navigates around furniture, and never gets stuck in tricky corners. The mopping feature is equally impressive. I love the dry and wet separation system, which keeps clean water and dirty water apart, ensuring the mop is always fresh. The edge deep cleaning function also does a fantastic job of reaching those spots that most vacuums miss. The self-emptying and self-cleaning functions are lifesavers. I barely have to lift a finger—just let the Narwal do its job, and everything is handled automatically. It feels like true hands-free cleaning. Setup was quick, the app is intuitive, and the robot’s performance has exceeded my expectations in every way.
