Four stars, not five, due to the fragile glass diffuser. Glass looks great; however, the glass could be of better quality. The wide rim has an additional “washer” sealing the unit against the ceiling, which is a plus.

Just replaced the cover for a canned light in our shower. Easy to replace. The product quality is great. Sturdy metal trim. Good paint quality.I gave the product four stars because some light leaks out around the edge. I tried adjusting the cover, and could not eliminate the leaking light. If light is leaking out, I assume moisture can get in! We did not have this issue with the old plastic cover. See photos for comparison.

We used these for our outdoor porch lights. This is a great upgrade to the crappy plastic LED inserts our builder put in.Two things to note:1. This is the trim and glass only. For us, this wasn't an issue since there was an existing can light to install to and we put in our own light bulb.2. We got the Oil Rubbed Bronze color and for us this was perfect because it is technically a matte black. If you are expecting more of a brown color, this is not it.At $20 per, it's a bit expensive, but the build quality is very good. We're happy with our purchase!

This came as expected and seemed like a well-built product. Maybe the wires that hold the unit to the recessed can could be a little heavier; but had no issues installing the lights. They put out a well dispersed light over my porch. They fit tight to the porch ceiling and are unobtrusive. I would suggest you go with this product as the housing is made from Metal vs Plastic. One of the old Plastic lights I had dropped about 10 feet from the porch ceiling and smashed when the plastic housing failed... I guess because of fatigue from the hot and cold seasons. If it had hit one of my grandchildren, I believe it could have caused serious injuries... or worse. I have seen many reviews that say their Plastics lights have failed in the shower or outside as mine did.

My originals had springs connected to plastic frame that cracked. The frame on these is metal.

Couldn't get any better! Fantastic! Made of glass and metal . NO cheap plastic. Very easy to install and a great price. Highly recommend!

The spring clamp pulled off a couple of times while flexing it to fit into the bracket in the light can. Once in, it looks great and works well.

Looks very nice, but since I am not a "mechanical" type person, I have no idea how it installs. There were no instructions..not even pictures. And since there are already "springs" attached to the current can in the ceiling, I have no idea what to do with this..The springs look much larger than the open space left inside the canlight

Good paint quality as well.One thing to mention.. some light leaks out around the edge. I tried adjusting the cover, and could not eliminate the leaking light. Had no issues with the old plastic cover. I ended up using my old foam gaskets from my original plastic cover and placed it on top of a new gasket that came with the shower trim to seal out water vapor from escaping the shower and going into the ceiling. It was a perfect fit. Also I used my original springs from Halo as they are shorter and thicker. The new springs are thin and long. I found it is easier to install/remove the cover with shorter springs, they don't come off as easily from the shower trim. All of that fixed the issue with the leaking light, hopefully no moisture can't get in :)
