Bolted right in so it made the repair very simple and inexpensive. The element itself works very well.

I bought this back in 2019 (7 years isn’t bad?) and had worked great as a cheap replacement. as long as you know how to use a screwdriver it’s very easy to swap out. I unfortunately need to buy another (again, like when I bought this in 2019, because the broiler was left on too long and the element “exploded” and shorted out, needed to turn off the stove at fuse box to stop it from sparking). I’ll be buying a different brand / seller this time just to see if longevity is better.

Replacement part

Our broiler burner burned out on our OLD GE Truetemp oven/stove. I think the oven came out in 1995??? Figured I wouldn't be able to find the part. But wrote everything down and went on Amazon to see if anything came up. Sure enough? This one did from Snap Supply. Ordered it. Came exactly when they said, very quickly. Installing it is a pain unless you take off the oven door but we figured leave it on, just in case we couldn't get it back on again. It took my husband and I about an hour to take off the old element and put on the new. It works PERFECTLY!!!!! We turned it on BROIL and the element got bright red!!!! YAY!!! One thing we found that the utube videos don't show you, is with an oven this old, getting the wire connectors OFF the old element is close to impossible. Spray some WD40 on the connectors and wait a few minutes. They'll slip off just fine after that. So yes, I highly recommend this replacement part!

Perfect fit for my GE model JBS55 electric stove and oven. Pretty easy install but be careful not to let your wires slip into the insulation. If that does happen pretty easy to uncover the backing and reinsert. Used some needle nose pliers to secure in place and a drill to remove the screws. Had my boyfriend hold a flashlight into the oven to see. Don’t forget to unplug the stove. Removing and replacing was a breeze. Perfect fit and no adjustment to the screw placements required. Great value for the set! I initially only needed the Broil Element but on Thanksgiving while baking my Turkey my Bake Element began burning out. Luckily it cooked my Turkey but it took a full 12 hours to get it done. There was no using it at all after that. My parts weren’t supposed to be here until tomorrow but I got them earlier today. It took about 15 minutes to install honestly and I’ve already made a peach cobbler and 2 sweet potato pies. Good Luck!
