Yes the item does come with a ribbon attached to its head. If you are bothered by it, you can easily cut it off without doing any damage to the product. Personally I haven't had any problems with it. Review: Lovely, but has a potentially serious flaw - This is a beautiful product - very soft and a great gift. However.... the head has a small ribbon loop attached which wrapped itself around my son's finger during the night cutting off the circulation. With the ribbon cutoff it's perfectly safe - or at least I hope so because my son refuses to go to bed without it!!!
