Not what i expected and not Jamaican sausage to any degree
Taste and quality for the Vienna sausages are still pretty good with quite a bit of saltiness to them. They are Chicken foremost and quite a bit different from what most people would expect in a Vienna sausage that are pork and beef dominant. As for labeling them Jamaican I can disagree as these are normal quality you would get from any other tin. They still were fresh and the cans they came in were in perfect shape and not dented. Value is not there unfortunately as many other products are cheaper and better than these. Shelf life is pretty long so even if you use sparingly they will keep for over a year. I expected higher quality from Grace products as I have many of their products in my pantry that are used weekly. Still I will find many ways to prepare these and make something delicious in the end.

TIme saver and delicious
Grace Chicken Vienna Sausages in Chicken Broth are another childhood favorite I grew up with as a Jamaican, and they still hit the same every time. This is one of those pantry staples that instantly brings back memories of quick meals at home—simple, comforting, and always satisfying. The sausages are soft, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned, and the chicken broth adds that extra savory taste that makes them stand out from other brands. They’re great straight from the can, warmed up, or paired with crackers, bread, rice, or even alongside dumplings for a fast meal or snack. I really appreciate that Grace has kept the quality consistent over the years. The 12-pack is super convenient and a great value, especially if this is something you grew up eating or keep on hand for quick meals. If you’re looking for an authentic Caribbean staple with real nostalgic flavor, you can’t go wrong with Grace 🇯🇲💛

Solid Emergency Food… 14g Protein Per Can
I got this 12-pack of Grace chicken Vienna sausages for my emergency go-bag, and I’ll probably stash a couple cans in each vehicle too… just in case. They taste great… basically like the Vienna sausages I buy locally, but these are chicken and have a solid 14g protein per can, which makes them a legit little emergency meal/snack. Yes, they’re a bit salty… but that’s expected with canned food (no worse than something like boxed mac & cheese). Easy to store, ready to eat, and good quality overall.

How the sausage is made
This 12-pack of chicken Vienna sausages is great if, and I would say only if, you're specifically looking for this brand. These, as best I can tell, are a regional brand popular in the southeast US and sold exclusively at Publix locations. I imagine that for some, this brand or the taste (more on my opinions there in a bit) are familiar or nostalgic and the inflated cost might be worth it if you don't have a Publix nearby. Gone are the days of 50 cent regular priced Vienna sausages at any grocery store, but $2.50/can (at the time of writing) still significantly exceeds the price for other nationwide brands. It's for that reason that I would not recommend this to anyone who does not fall into that category I described. As for the product itself, they're solid quality Vienna sausages. Many people don't care for the taste of Vienna sausages but I find myself quite a fan of them, and I have to say they got all of the important parts exactly right. These are well spiced, have the typical texture and mouthfeel, and have a casing that holds the sausage together fine but is not noticeable when eating. The broth was more gelatinous than I'm used to, but I've definitely seen similar consistency from other manufacturers, although I can't recall which. I would say this is on par if not slightly better tasting than either of the more common brands you see on US store shelves - Libby or Armour. They come in the same 130g can and easy pull-tab you're used to. Being only chicken (most Vienna sausages are a mix of chicken, beef, and pork) these do end up being lighter tasting, however they are not lighter nutritionally. Chicken Vienna sausages are (surprisingly) higher in fat and sodium generally, but these are even moreso. Compared to Libby's brand chicken Vienna sausages, these have identical sodium, but more calories, fat, & cholesterol, and less protein. It's not by much, but these aren't particularly healthy food. The cans I received had an expiration date in July of 2027 when ordered in January of 2025. I'm not sure when these were made, but I usually see shelf dates 2-3 years out in stores so this is probably pretty fresh inventory. The cans were in excellent condition upon arrival, only one can had dents and they were two small dents on the bottom rim of the can. None were punctured or otherwise damaged.
