Great hood struts to replace the factory hood prop! Installed in 15 minutes in the barracks parking lot on my 2022 Ecoboost. The included instructions are very thorough and the product has a great finish. Installation was quick, only required myself, a 10mm, 13mm, wrench, and a drill to modify the battery cover. I purchased it during Prime Day 2025 at $72 and highly recommend it for a similar deal. Great value. Hood opens like it was factory fit with the struts

This kit is one of the easiest, highest quality, most complete and simple to install designs I've seen. I watched the installation video a couple of times before I started and was able to complete the installation by myself in 30 minutes. Every part fit as advertised and the special hole drill bit included made the drilling of the battery cover simple and straightforward. My hood now opens easily and at about 1/2 way open the gas struts take effect and open the hood the rest of the way. A no brainer addition for any Mustang owner.

I installed today. Took a bit longer than expected because the bottom part of the fender bracket fell off into the wheel well. Fishing it out was a learning experience. I’ll explain later. I agree with another reviewer who said it would be better if the bottom is locked onto the bolt somehow. Getting the bottom of the bracket into the hole isn’t easy but possible. The rest of the install was easy. The struts work great initially. I found the video was more helpful than the paper instructions. If you drop the bottom part of the fender bracket into the wheel well and your Mustang has wheel well protectors, then force the bracket piece towards the back of the car. It will eventually drop down to the ground or into the bottom attachment (see picture) if you have them.

I've wanted to add these for a while and finally decided it was time to bite the bullet. I'm glad I did! I HATE PROP RODS!!! The installation was extremely easy. The one hole to drill in the battery cover was easy to mark - It took a bit to get it set up, but it went quickly. I grabbed a pair of snips and notched the cover so it can come off without worrying about disconnecting the piston to remove the battery cover. I didn't catch the difference in the instructions between Mustangs older than 2016. - the hose for the wiper washers goes a bit differently. I didn't like the movement the hose makes on my 2018 GT - it looks like it could possible get caugt by the hood if I'm not careful. Installation took about 15 minutes and I took my time. The hood lifts easily and holds in place. Dropping the hood was easy to do, as well. I am really pleased with the enhancement these lifts provide!

Installed on my 2022 GT. Perfect for the price. Ee ended up cutting out a slot instead of just having the hole in the battery cover for better accessibility if we need to access the battery. Took less than an hour to install. Has good propel motion to open the hood on its own and closes easily. No adjustments needed on alignment of hood. 🙌🏻
