Lovely refreshing lager
Have just tried the first of these after the recommended 12 weeks aging time in the bottle and they’re lovely, a real clean and crisp lager taste and a good head. Got impatient and tried one before the aging time was up and it wasn’t great, so definitely be patient and do as it says!

Simple, tasty and good value
Lovely tasting lager, this is the second time I've used this kit. I'd suggest using 1 kg of brewing sugar (not table sugar as this can give a slightly cidery taste). I tried using 300g dried malt extract (and 750g of sugar) but it finished a bit too malty to my taste - the kit is already packed with flavour so I suggest giving it a try with just sugar first.

Typical of the Australians to provide a kit to brew a good European lager !
Just sampled the finished product after 6 weeks in the barrel - very good ! This was my second batch of Homebrew & I can recommend an investment in a heating tray, for the fermenting bucket that has paid off for me ! I'm using brewing sugar rather than household sugar, & bottled water rather than tap; everything else was provided in the kit. I've made an investment in a C02 injector for this barrel, & and as per my first batch, this brew doesn't hold a head of any substance fresh out of the barrel. A single CO2 bottle injection improved that slightly, but nowhere near as good as that shown on the tin ! It will need another CO2 injection I think, to achieve that fuller head. I achieved a 3% specific gravity for this batch, The end product has nice colour & a great 'lager' hoppy aroma ! There is a very mild slightly bitter after taste, which I think will reduce after several more pints have been drawn off !
