STAR WARS The Black Series Luke Skywalker, A New Hope Collectible 6 Inch Action Figure

Black Series Luke ANH (2025) is very impressive. An all-new sculpt that is much more screen-accurate, vastly improved articulation, and surprising paint details for a modern figure. Highly recommend, I'm much happier with this than expected and I'm quite picky. Photos don't do it justice in part because the face works better in real-space. The wide eyes aren't his only look in the film, but this really captures that farmboy. He seems to be an entirely new sculpt. The only thing that's not perfect is the hair, it's better than first impression but slightly soft on sculpt, slightly too brown with not enough paint highlights, and the bangs aren't shaggy and unkempt enough - it's livable but this is the one aspect I'd like to see another try at. Impressive design includes insert-forearms deep inside the forearm sleeve for added realism and articulation, and the torso is actually wrapped around in soft plastic with a very slightly open fold which looks tremendous. The figure has a dumbbell head, ball-jointed neck, butterfly shoulders, single-hinge elbows which go very slightly past 90, ball-jointed waist, up-down wrists on both sides for lightsaber-action, ball hips with extra space for slight rotation, no thigh rotation but top of the knee rotation, hinged knees that go to 90, boot swivel which is just astonishing for Star Wars Black Series, and hinged ankles with rockers. He comes with his lightsaber with removable blade, macrobinoculars which might be reuse from the previous ANH Luke (it has a hole to hang off of the lightsaber hook), and removable long pouch on the back of his belt. Detail in sculpting and paint is surprisingly impressive, a lot of silver details, tight detailing on the saber hilt including the activation plate and red emitter button, tarnished silver on the belt buckle and droid caller, weathered leg wraps.

This Luke is fantastic. Many are critical due to his expressionless features, but it still looks like Luke Skywalker and looks great! Nice accessories, and finally a non soft goods New Hope Luke!

I'm really glad Hasbro finally made a proper original Luke Skywalker. Though the hair is a bit dark, there's no center parting, the eyes are not a bright blue, etc., the overall look is pretty good. I think Hasbro is trying too hard for accuracy; Had they just implemented the head from the Black Series X-Wing Pilot Luke (Archives), he'd be 100%!

Great figure of Farmboy Luke, as always the headsculpt isn't the best (it's the Luke-fluke) Compared to the older Farmboy Luke however this is a major improvement, glad I sold the old one (from the Landspeeder set) and replaced it by this new version

Like Princess Leia, Farmboy Luke is a strong argument on having sculpted clothing rather than soft goods. He improves massively on the original release, and unlike Leia there is not much in the loss of articulation with the 2024 Luke able to do more or less everything the older figure could. Accessories are OK and are an obvious choice. It might have also been nice to include Luke’s poncho and/or cycler rifle to create more options for display - but these pieces all exist in the line already and are compatible with the new Luke. With Luke and Leia now updated and enhanced I hope that Hasbro will follow suit with some of the older classic characters who are now pushing 10 years old.
