While no one in this family is truly a professional photographer, we are observant people. We are a mom, dad, daughter, have a dog, cat, aunts, uncles and more and all of us love memories. You can't take people with you when you go, but the memories will always be in your heart and this little gem was able to capture this. It captures it as portraits (of the dog licking herself), zooms in while the boys are playing football, the ceiling fan (six year old), it catches the grandkids snatching cookies and most of all captures memories of that special spring break vacation. For someone that had very little experience, in less than a week's time she was snapping photos like she was a pro in Hollywood. So many fun little experiences. We even made sure the six year old knew that yes the videos could go on You Tube, guess she plans on being the next star. Beside the zoom and wideangle lenses I think our favorite has ended up being the 180 degree flip screen. So many things you can capture with this, in ways you could never get before. The size is amazingly comfy, not bulky at all, but does the trick. It is nice and solid, easy to use and for the price we paid, we feel like we didn't break the bank. Husband is most jealous of the 4k digital camera that has the pause function. It allows us to continue recording in the same file without restarting a new one. His only disappointment is that we told him he should get his own if he plans on using it for fishing. We are rather fearful we might not get it back. This is truly a great family camera, and yet at the same time, reasonable enough you could have a few of them in the family. Save purple for me, it's my signature color. I forgot to share that we were able to record while we were charging it, how super cool is that? Oh and the LED light is amazing for camping photos. I really need to shut up, could talk all day about this little camera. So final words, say CHEESE!!

I bought this camera to record my drum practice sessions and I needed to buy at a budget price. This camera met my needs to perform this function. I record with regular indoor lighting and this camera was able to record clear video at all the available resolutions, although I typically record at 1080p 30 fps to get best results without using a ton of memory space. The menu is easy to navigate and even though the manual does not go much into depth for describing all the menu functions, I was able to search the web and watch YouTube videos to get a better understanding of the various menu functions. For the most part, I have been using the default menu settings except for Recording Resolution, which I set for 1080P 30fps and metering mode, which I set to Matrix Metering. The internal microphone is adequate for recording voice audio from within a few feet from the camera, but it was not what I wanted for recording music. I initially had an issue with using external microphones. I contacted the vendor and they were very prompt in responding to my inquiries and helping me resolve my issue with using external microphones. I wanted to record from two speakers that were connected to my E-Drum Kit and connecting the microphones direct to the camera using a stereo Y splitter would not work, also I could not get regular external camera microphones to work either. However, the seller gave me the information I needed to get the right equipment to record the way I wanted to record. The camera records audio in Mono (one channel) using a 3.5mm (1/8”) TRS mic jack. The camera’s mic input also needed to come from a powered mic source and the mic output must be in Mono. There are many battery powered mics to be found on Amazon. I decided to get a Comica CVM-AX1 mic mixer that can take a Stereo input from two mics and output to the camera in Mono. For my shotgun mic I got a Comica V30 PRO. Both of these mic solutions work great with this camera and each of these two items cost less than $50 each. I also upgraded the memory card to a SanDisk 256GB Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Memory Card for around $15 All-in-all, even with these additional items I purchased, it cost a lot less than the $500~$600 price of a brand name camera. I am happy with this purchase of the Wikico Camera.

Very pretty camera. I love the color and that you get 2 batteries with it but I was looking for a little better picture quality. It takes good ones but not as good as I was shooting for. Good for a teenager.

Overall build quality of the camera is pretty poor. Listing says 4k, on camera itself says 8k, overall picture quality is not great. This is a full digital camera, meaning there isn’t a peep hole to look through you have to use to the screen. When you click to take a picture beside the sound there isn’t a feeling that you’re actually taking a picture like on a Sony camera. The user interface also is terrible, when your viewing your photos you have to click a bunch of time on the buttons to go back to taking pictures unlike normal cameras where you can you press the take picture button and be right back. All in all don’t waste your time on this. Save a little more money and buy a credible camera.
