Absolutely lovely piece. Fiddly in parts, but I enjoyed every moment. It took 3hrs in total and loved having a few spare parts as I dropped a few... Get some nice tacky glue and you'll be fine. The details are incredible and I couldn't stop looking at it once I was done. Can't wait to get another.

Bit tricky to make but 12yo daughter loved it. Lights make it look really cool! Took a few hours, she loved making all the tiny books and didn't get bored.

A little fiddly at times BUT, with a bit of patience, can be done easily.. I think the way foward, with these, is not to force anything out of the frames and not excessively force any piece together. The odd hole might be a bit small, though you can gently enlarge it. I built mine exactly according to the instructions and found it quite easy to read and understand. You will need some glue tho (i used PVA..which might not be the best glue to use) and two AAA batteries. You might need to tap a few bits together as well. All in all, easy to build (and i got average sized hands). If you go on to build more, then id say get one of those small modellers 'tool kits' from here. This Bookshop model is a brilliant place to start this hobby and will definitely prepare you for more complex models. Hope this helps you decide to have a go, as the model looks great lit up at night. (PS..I put the light switch with the battery pack, instead of where the instructions state, as it seems a better place. I bought this just to see what these models were like. I usually buy ‘plain’ wood models and this one came pre-painted. The resulting model looks very good and the painting gives it a lot of character. The resulting model looks was a lot better than I was expecting. The build was pretty straightforward. The wood is thick which gives a sturdy model and the delicate parts pushed out quite easily. This helps greatly as there is less chance of breaking parts while getting them off the board. There are a couple of fiddly jobs, making the two open books being particularly irritating. I had to improvise when installing the touch light switch. Positioned where the instructions say, the switch was impossible to get to. I’ve positioned mine on the back of the model. It’s the only part of the instructions that I could not get my head round. Overall, a very pleasing result.

Amazing quality, easy to build, great value.

Christmas present for my husband. Kept him amused for a few hours. A little craft glue helps with construction. Instructions were clear and precise as long as you follow them in order. Some components are very tiny but the wood is good quality so no breakages. Made a beautiful focal point for the bookshelf.

É bellissimo, ne vale veramente la pena, é facile da assemblare seguendo il libricino con le istruzioni e la resa finale é spettacolare! É studiato al dettaglio, la lucina interna dà quel tocco finale che ti fa pensare proprio di aver fatto un buon acquisto.

L'articolo non richiede particolari abilità di costruzione in quanto si monta a incastro. È molto facile e rapido da assemblare, seguendo le istruzioni chiare e precise e facendo unicamente attenzione a non rompere i piccoli pezzi, soprattutto estraendoli dalle tavolette di legno. Quindi c'è poco modellismo nel senso stretto della parola, ma l'effetto finale è davvero sorprendente. Porte che si aprono e si chiudono, illuminazione con pulsante touch e accessori,quasi tutti prestampati su legno,molto realistici
