Become a true Primaris Ultra
Space Marine 2 delivers pure, high-octane action wrapped in the epic power of the Warhammer universe. From the moment you land on the battlefield, chainsword humming and bolter blazing, you truly feel like a legendary warrior of the Imperium. The Tyranid swarms are relentless, and every encounter feels intense, cinematic, and immensely satisfying. The visuals are stunning, the sound design rumbles with weight and energy, and the combat makes you feel like a one-man army standing firm against impossible odds. This isn’t just a game - it’s an adrenaline-fueled experience worthy of the Emperor’s finest.

Bolter-Firing Bliss: Why This Sequel Makes Me Feel Like a True Ultramarine
As a veteran of the Warhammer 40k universe who's been knee-deep in the grim darkness of the far future since the early 2000s—starting with the tabletop minis where I painstakingly painted my own Space Marine chapter, then diving into video game adaptations like the original Space Marine back in 2011—I've been eagerly awaiting this sequel. I picked up Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 for my Xbox Series X the day it launched, and after logging about 35 hours over the past two weeks (mostly in intense evening sessions after work), I can confidently say it's exceeded my high expectations. I've split my time between the single-player campaign, where I embody Captain Titus blasting through Tyranid swarms, and co-op operations mode with my old gaming buddies, recreating those epic battles we used to fantasize about during our tabletop nights. It's not just nostalgia; this game has refined the formula into something that feels fresh yet faithful, making it a must-play for lore enthusiasts while being accessible enough for action fans dipping their toes in.

Not a Tabletop Nerd, But This Game Made Me a 40K Fan
Great game. I’m not a tabletop nerd, but stuff like this and Astartes — that animated Warhammer 40K fan‑fic series — makes me actually dig 40K even more. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 delivers satisfying, brutal combat and a world that feels as badass as those Space Marines in the Astartes videos. The story keeps you in the grimdark groove without being overly complicated, and even if you’re like “I don’t read all the lore,” you’ll still feel like a total galactic badass blasting through hordes of foes.

Great pick up play warhammer game
As an avid warhammer fan, this was a great addition to the saga. If you like non stop action and gore, running and gunning down every teranid, and the forces of chaos this is right up your alley. Voice acting is top notch and the story in line with the series. Even if you are not an avid lover of the genre its an easy pick up play game that will suck you in and never let you go. Even upon completion I was yearning for more. Granted I found it short as I completed in in 20 hours but there are harder levels that will challenge you to the max and with regular updates and collectibles to find the replayability is key. I found this a great addition to my collection and look forward to the next update! The disk does not hold the full game. The game is downloaded as well as the first update. Make sure you have a decent internet connection or you will be waiting awhile.

Amazing Game except for Enemy Swarms
Campaign mode only. Graphics are amazing. Weapons are great. Sound effects over the top. No glitches. A very well made game. My only complaint is the enemy i.e. swarms. There's really no strategy to kill them per se. You just blast away and hammer away in a 360 degree fashion until they are all dead. Then do it all over again when the next swarm appears. It got boring and monotonous. There are bosses but other than that it's just a mass extinctions of swarms. Because of that, I won't play again.

Very fun and spectacular action game, better to play with friends.
Great graphics, performance is very stable (a couple of very small graphical details here and there but very good looking game in general) to my eyes it stays close to 60fps all the time using performance mode. Very entertaining to play with a couple of friends, the story is there but to be honest I don't care much about it. Combat is great, very bloody and makes you feel super powerful. The hordes of tyranids are incredible.

One of the best games
One of the best games out there, the story mode isn't very long but it's very good.

Are you a 40k fan? BUY THIS.
Finally, a game that captured the feel of the 40k universe. The "Dawn of War" series was awesome but was real-time strategy. The first "Space Marine" game was fantastic but still a bit cartoony in some respects - infinite pistol ammo? And yes, I know, the 40k universe is itself kind of cartoony in that so much of what it contains is a parody of the genre. Regardless, there has never been video game that truly captured the "grimdark" of the grim dark universe of 40k. The best part is the Tyranid mechanics; they're always portrayed as an unstoppable faceless hoard, which is both their appeal and what makes them scary. Having a handful of enemies onscreen is great, even a whole squad, but this game truly captures that sheer wave of mindless destruction that is the Tyranids. You truly understand that they have no interest in anything about you or what you represent, just biomass to be consumed. Great game, great feel, great customization, great multi-player- finally a PvP that gives various legions distinguishing traits rather than just a simple palette swap. Make sure you play the story with friends, it really does just add so much to it. Also, look up voice changers on YouTube, some folks have used voice effects to make themselves sound like actual Space Marines with hilarious dialogue. I couldn't stop laughing when I heard a Space Marine shout "In the name of the Emperor you shall call me your daddy!"
