I’ll be honest, I had my doubts about the Boblov Body Camera at first, but it has completely won me over. I’m actually planning to suggest that our department adopts these for the jail side of our operations. Crystal Clear Imaging: When I pulled the footage up on my computer, I was blown away by the quality. The video is sharp and professional. Audio Versatility: The audio recording is crisp, but the best part is the control you have over it. Silent Mode: You have the option to put the device in a silent mode. When activated, it doesn't make a sound, so the other party isn't alerted when you're engaging it. If you’re looking for a reliable, discreet, and high-quality body cam for law enforcement or corrections, this is it.

I was previously using a GoPro camera with chest plate to go and record my events while traveling. I wanted something to also just capture last min reason like if accident or to just have to film where I go like travels or events. SO I bought this camera narrowing down to this model from other reviews and models online. I actually love the cradle charging port. USB-C charging and data transfer to computer. Does have a built in USB-C on the side. The Nice feature on this has quick recording button. Built in light, night vision mode that works great. Has audio recording only or up to 4k quality wide angle. Comes with 2 clips. I bought the magnetic shirt mount for the clip so I can use it for jackets or shirt. But comes with spring clip that I can attach between zippers. One feature noticed there's a laser point. "What is that used for?" Whelp come to find if you need it in a fire, it will show a red laser through smoke to help know you're in the room or where your location is based on the pointer. Or shows movement with red dot as you move around. Perhaps prob good for night use as well so even if outdoors you can be pin pointed on where you are standing. Does have a built in light as well for dark spaces. Can take snapshots of pictures quick access for that as well if need to take a picture of something or someone with a push of a button. Can mute or unmute mic. I've used this with family while checking out Christmas lights and recorded our experience. Only uses PC based software to transfer files but can read as a USB file without software can still transfer footage. Says you can use cradle as a dash cam on your dash but has to be pointed right. I have it in my car so I can keep it charged. I've owned dash cams and similar units but over all these things have always had problem keeping the time or date. So even charged some reason these systems can never get date and time right. So you will find yourself always having to set the time when using if you haven't used it in a few hours. I dont know why this is but common with different brands no matter what. Built in battery so can't remove. All internal as well as the memory. No SD card just built in 128GB. Over all great fun use. Easy and solid material. I don't plan on dropping it but seems pretty sturdy. Great for any use and any event. Best known for cops using body cams but really can be used as a action cam as well. I like the quick and easy using and quick button recording or audio.

This camera records for a long time, and the battery lasts quite a while. Good video and night mode works well too. Clips that come with it are good and grip well on things. Only gripe is that the battery does not retain a charge when not being used for more then a couple days. UPDATE: I contacted Boblov directly about the battery drain concern, and they shipped me a new unit quickly, and at no cost to me. The new unit is holding a charge just fine. Great customer service in my opinion!

Lightweight, easy to start recording, good quality video and sound, and it comes with a large clip! Those are my favorite things about the B4K5. Unlike some other Boblov cameras, this comes with the larger clip that works nicely with the magnetic holders that go on your shirt or jacket. It's strange how Boblov will include a large clip with a smaller camera but a smaller clip for a larger camera like the other one I own, which is the M5. I like how this camera has the vibrate function when you push record on or off. This way, you don't have to worry about looking for the red or green lights to see if it's recording or not. The large record button on the front is great, but is sometimes inconsistent with how many times you need to push it to stop recording. It has taken as many as 4 times for me to push the button to stop recording. Maybe you have to push it more in the middle because it is a large button. I own both this model and the M5. The M5 has better volume, as in when you play the video back, the quality is actually better on the M5. So for that, the recording button issue and the smaller battery capacity of the B4K5 (3400 mAh), I give this camera 4 stars. The battery is about 75% drained by the time my 8 hour shift ends, as the battery is on its last cell of power when my day is over with. I wish it was 4200 mAh like the M5 model. Also, the charging cradle is a bit sketchy as it will make the camera lights blink on an off sometimes. This isn't a big issue to me as I just use the USB-C cord to charge it directly into the camera. All in all, a keeper for me, and something I'd recommend. UPDATE - I did wind up returning this camera because I had one of those days where I had to record a bit, and the camera turned off by itself without any notice. You would think it would beep or something when the battery was getting low. Had I needed to record more, it wouldn't have been possible. So, the M5 with the larger battery stays, and the B4K5 was returned. These companies need to get with it and make all body worn cameras with large batteries. Anything less than 4000 mAh when you're in security is really quite worthless.
