For people with diabetes or gluten intolerance, non-grain pastas are a godsend, and black bean seems to hold together better than lentil or even chickpea, and cooks VERY quickly. You do not get the same starchy pasta water needed for some sauces (unless you add some flour to the water, or like some restaurants, freeze ice cubes of pasta water when you make starchy pasty to use later!!). Also, while it does not have gluten, it is probably not good for people with FODMAP allergies (beans, cruciferous vegetables -- I would hate to have that!), and it did plug up my digestive system when I ate it several meals in a row. (Drink more fluids than with wheat pasta, and perhaps some soft fiber to offset the bean fiber.). It has more taste than most protein pastas, with a bit of a nutty flavor, which can be good or bad depending on the dish. (Edamame and chickpea are good alternatives, though chickpea has more carbs.)

Very good texture and flavor great alternative to traditional pasta.

It’s new to us so the texture was a little different to me it taste like chick pea pasta. We will definitely try again

Worked great for creepy Halloween spaghetti. Tastes good despite feeling a little flat in flavor compared to other gluten free pasta. Like the high protein. I would buy again in the future.

If I had received the item I ordered I’d give the product 5 stars, (tastes great, high protein, great texture, versatile, cooks fast, on time delivery) but I ordered a 6-pack of the black bean fettuccine, and instead received 6-pack of the edamame fettuccine. As the item is not returnable, I was directed to the Only Bean product support website. I filled out their form, gave all my info, explained the problem, and offered to submit a photo if directed where to send/upload one. I’ve heard nothing and it’s been several days (upon submission, the site indicated there would be a resolution within 24 hours.) I explained that I’d be fine with either a refund or just a replacement…either or; I’ve received neither, and not a word from Customer Service. At this point, I’m irritated, and simply want my money back. Additionally, I had to make a special trip to the grocery store to purchase the black bean fettuccine. Next time, I’ll just order by the individual box, as I have not had problems with those. Sadly, that’s far less cost effective, which means I’ll buy less of your product, as I have to have confidence I’ll get what I order, and not have this sort of hassle in getting my money back (or worse, not get it back at all) if there is a shipping error of some sort. I’m not sure if the 6-pack boxes are miscoded thru Amazon fulfillment/supply chain, or if this was a one time error. Needless to say, one non-refundable mistake, still unresolved, is enough for me. Fulfillment mistakes should not cost the customer, regardless of the return policy. The Only Bean customer service/product support site has failed to offer any recourse as of yet. So while you I think they have great products, the unreliable delivery (possibly Amazon), poor customer service response (Only Bean support site) with no refunds (Amazon) makes them a gamble.
