Very informative book. I had very little knowledge of DCC prior to reading it.

How to wire up the layout is very good,as well as other information about points and point motors.

This book contains very up-to-date coverage of most aspects of Digital Command Control that model railroaders would be interested in, including, for example, the Peco (UK) SmartSwitch system. There are many excellent colour illustration, and coverage of wiring and speakers is particularly good. The treatment of DCC decoders per se, and of programming same, is rather superficial but the author, Allam Gartner, readily admits these topics lie outside the scope of this introduction. Nevertheless, even experienced model railroaders are sure to find some material of interest in this slim volume.
