Works to keep a Ventura Sparc MGS charged. This is a electronic digital watch which does not take batteries; but has a rotor like a mechanical automatic watch to keep it charged. However, I found that a watch winder for mechanical watches — even at 2,100 turns per day — is inadequate to keep the electronic Ventura Sparc MGS charged. This pendulum watch winder does; it keeps the Ventura Sparc MGS charged when run for just a few hours every other night. (And that is only because the Ventura Sparc MGS will turn itself off and lose its settings if not moved for 40 hours. Otherwise I suspect that this winder is so efficient/effective that a greater interval than running it every other night might be sufficient to top off the Ventura Sparc MGS.)

Since my watch is a self-winder I have recently retired and do not wear my watch every day like I used to. When I do put it on it had stopped running so I had to re-set it. Then a friend said to look into a self winder for my watch. I looked on the Internet and found many types from under $100 to over $500. The higher priced models were for multiple watches and I only had one. Looking further I found ones for single watches under $100. The one I picked was not the cheapest but was still under $30. When it arrived I built it pretty easily and it works flawlessly and keeps my watch fully winded. Crazy simple but perfect for its intended use.

I could not recommend this enough. I have a Seiko Kinetic watch, this is the only “winder” I have found with the power to charge a Seiko kinetic fully. Since it swings it needs more space but it is silent.

I have a Seiko Kinetic watch I wear a lot and am able to keep it running well but I wanted to add other watches more often into my rotation so wanted a way to keep the Kinetic running when wearing it less often. This winder seemed to be the answer and is extremely inexpensive so I decided to give it a try. This works great. While the assembly was not the best (installing the bearings gave me a feeling I could have easily broken it when putting it together) it works properly and is very easy to use. I like the swing speed choices and the ease at which I can select the winding time up to 12 hours. I was able to fully charge the watch in one day and even decided to let it go another two days to ensure it was charged fully. I then let the watch sit on my desk until it ran down completely and it ran for 11 months which is way longer than the 6 months Seiko says it should. So the winder worked and worked well. One warning - I got the version with the long swing arm and that does not work well with a much heavier watch like an Omega Planet Ocean chronograph as the winder does not have a heavy enough base to keep it from tipping over from the watch weight. So, if you have a very heavy watch, you may want the version with the shorter swing arm to keep it from swinging itself over.
