Great for doing vocal exercises
I was looking for a device or a booth that would allow me to sing without disturbing my neighbours. The insulation in my apartment is horrible, so I needed something that would at least decrease half of the decibels. I've tested it and recorded myself using the Beltbox and singing without the Beltbox, and I'm very impressed with how little you can hear. I think my neighbours can probably still hear me vaguely at a distance, but definitely much less than without using the Beltbox. One little thing that bothered me is that the strap pushes the Beltbox so closely on your face, that I find it hard to breathe. I tried to adjust the strap, but even then it's still uncomfortable. I therefore don't use the strap. I still give it 5 stars, because I think it's great value for your money. It's easy to use and it fits in your bag.

Beltbox review
Bought for daughter's singing competitions. She finds it very useful and thinks that it is a great product. Easy to carry

Good Product Although Expensive
The first thing to say is that this product is really expensive for what it is. However the reviews for the next level of price weren't great so I went for the Beltbox. The most important thing to say is that it does seem to reduce the volume significantly. So the main purpose appears to be met. I'm a guitarist so using the Beltbox with the strap for learning new songs while playing. It's not particularly comfortable with the strap, but it does work, despite what other reviews say. One negative point is that breathing is not easy with the strap on, but you can move it slightly with the jaw to facilitate a breath. I've only had it a day though, so may need to try different adjustments to the strap. It comes with a carry-bag and cylindrical box which are snazzy but if they're adding to the cost I could do without them. Overall it does work. It's not perfect, but you're not going to get perfect without a soundproof booth. I'm happy with the purchase but would be much happier if it had cost £20 less.

Belt one out
The idea that you can sing your heart out without everyone including next door neighbors hearing all the fine details of an untrained voice is appealing. My first impression: It exercises and makes one conscious of breathing. Breathing is made rather more difficult so running out of breath is a real danger but for practice purposes not an issue. The main point is that every room has acoustic properties. With the Beltbox you are hearing your voice as if you are in a studio ie without being coloured by the acoustic properties of a room without acoustic treatment. In other words the feedback you get on your voice when using the Beltbox is very useful. I the kitchen with no soft furnishings no way would I have let rip some of the higher octave vocals that I was able to practice easily with this gizmo,

Good but
My first thoughts are that it looks used and has a strong smell just like the red nose day noses lol But it's pretty good at muffling my voice when singing just wish there was more space I personally don't think it's worth the price

Best buy Iāve ever made
The best purchase Iāve ever made. When buying I thought it was a bit pricey but it is worth every single penny. Super easy to clean and was so shocked by how much it dampens the voice during warm up and belting. Really good quality, just so so happy with this product. I wish I had bought it sooner.

Impossible to Breath
Ordered this a few months ago but only just had the time to properly use. Whilst it does muffle the sound of your voice it is impossible to breath effectively enough to actually sing/warm up into. In order to breath at all you need to take the cover away from your face to inhale rendering the "hands free strap" completely pointless. Would like to request a refund but am outside the refund window. Simply won't be using. Waste of money.

Donāt expect much
Whilst singing it does sound as though the sound is significantly dampened. However, I recorded a video to test and can confirm the sound is still loud. If you are a classical singer this product is not effective. The only plus is that it encourages deep breathing which is helpful for a warmup. Very disappointed.

My 17 yo daughter absolutely loves using this when she's rehearing for singing events. She loves using it so she can sing her high notes without disrupting the household. She doesn't find it restrictive to her breathing.

This thing is great. Works like a charm. You can sing or warm up anywhere and it really cuts down on the volume. Highly recommended!

Awesome item! It has helped me immensely as a musician. It has allowed me to practise in was I couldn't have otherwise, aside from pushing my vocal strength much more than without.

Me ha gustado mucho y cumple totalmente su función. He probado otros que me tapaban la nariz y me asfixiaba al cantar. En cambio este te permite cantar dosificando la respiración y no molestar a mis vecinos. Muy recomendable.
