Conklin Endura Deco Crest Fountain Pen in Orange with Rose Gold Accents – Fine Nib, Refillable Luxury Writing Instrument

In this case the saying "you get what you pay for" most definitely applies. This fountain pen is outstanding in everyway. I have many fountain pens because I can control my hand much better with one, this is by far one of the best writing fountain pens I have ever used. It is well balanced and when cap is posted it has threads to hold it on, this is what gives this pen the great balance and control. One of the attributes that I think makes a great pen is how smoothly it writes. Its exquisite when it comes to smooth writing, it is so smooth, yet still gives you control of how the quill moves across the page. It is very comfortable to hold and allows you to write for hours without cramping or your letting your hand get tired. The grip of the pen is great, which also gives it its great look. The orange and black is the color I chose because it stands out so well. I also purchased more of the brands replacement quills because for a fine point, it moves very smoothly, and I will use the extras on other fountain pens.

Recently got into fountain pens. I'm not a fan of Orange, but DANG this thing is absolutely stunning, so I caved and got it. This pen looks amazing. By far my favorite looking pen (that I own). The weight is very nice (non-posted) and the feel is well balanced. This is on the heavier side, which I like. The nib writes well, and has a pleasant feel to it. Love that it is blacked out like the rest of the pen as well. Keeps it nice and dark themed. I believe I got a Fine tip nib, and it seems to write a little more towards the medium range based on other pens I own. The converter screws in!! I LOVE THAT! Not sure why, but I tend to think it just holds better and will likely have less issues on the plane if I don't pre-flight care for it enough. When used with Diamine Writers Blood ink, It writes really nicely and has a nice scratch to it. Flows well, and I haven't had any issues with dry starts or hard starts or anything like that. I just pick it up and go without worry. I have notice that if I want to draw a fast line all the way down the page, it will skip a little bit, but this COULD be the ink.... it is the only ink I have tried so far (because the color match is so rad) and I am not a fountain pen Tech, so the skipping could just be an ink that is a little more dry. Overall, this is my favorite fountain pen so far. The look, the feel, the weight, etc... just all feels really well balanced. I will close out and say that there ARE other fountain pen options that look like this (Asvine V169 for example) and I haven't found them to function quite as well as this one (on average), but you could absolutely go that route and still have a decent "skeleton" pen that doesn't break the bank and I think you'd be just as happy. However, I have yet to find one quite as stunning as this one, in the same price range, and from one of the oldest Fountain Pen Makers in the world.

Nice pen. The stub nib doesn't seem to have any tipping so i am concerned about long term use. Otherwise the pen is nice quality, excellent for the price and is pretty.

This is a bad ass FP! How can I order a different nib only for it? I got the "Conklin Endura Deco Crest Fountain Pen in Orange with Rose Gold Accents – Extra Fine Nib" but I'd like Fine or regular nib.

A lovely fountain pen. The stub nib I got makes a gorgeous line. I love how the twist cap will finish its position depending on where you begin to twist it. The means the clip winds up where you want it. The orange shows up impressively on my fountain pen. It has yet to start dry after sitting unused for a week. The weight is good and makes me slow down with my cursive handwriting.

Have always loved pens of all shapes and sizes. Around the age of 12 I got my first lamy safari and never looked back. This Conklin endura Deca Crest is an absolute treat to write with. Good weight and feel. Love the orange and black contrast.

Lovely pen. Severely back weighted when capped though. Nib was also in need of repositioning.

Muy bonita, con buenos acabados, visiblemente es linda. Sin embargo, fluye bien pero solo unos trazos, después de cierto tiempo no sale tinta y entonces se queda tu escritura a medias. Es muy molesto que esto suceda ya que no puedes pasar sesiones agradables de escritura ya que este problema constante frustra. Es la segunda oportunidad que le doy a la familia Monteverde ya que con anterioridad compré una omniflex también y el problema es el mismo. Y tengo muchas plumas de diferentes marcas que no sucede así, tengo Lamy, Pilot, Montblanc, e inclusive marcas desconocidas y son mejores.

Great craftsmanship in this pen. It's a nice weight and the ink flows beautifully.

Wer den Füller vom Aussehen so mag wird kaum enttäuscht. Wenn er dann gefällt kann man ihn auch zeigen. Schreiben geht auch gut , eher feine Feder. Ist eher für kleine Hände gedacht , da der Fülle etwas kurz ist. Man kann die Kappe hinten aufschrauben, dann ist er allerdings sehr lang und sehr unausballanziert, da dann der hintere Teil des Füllers sehr schwer nach hinten runter drückt und vorne zu leicht wird. Die Flexfeder schreibt bei mir sehr gut fein, kann allerdings die breiteren Schleifen bei Kalligraphie nicht wirklich bringen, zu steif ( ( ( Gegenteil von Flexibilität )

La he probado con dos buenas tintas (Noodler's y Montblanc) y no llegan a mojar la punta, se quedan atascadas en alguna zona del alimentador. Ahora la he puesto a limpiar, en remojo sin desmontar nada, con un producto específico para plumines y le daré una segunda oportunidad antes de solicitar la devolución. Una pena, porque es preciosa y llamativa y la adquirí a un precio estupendo.
