I am thrilled. This stuff is great, and great fun. I am an old school draftsman where pen and paper were important, a big deal. This paper brings back those old (pre-computer) days. I still write with a fountain pen as ball point pens have no character or feeling. As I laid pen to paper it was like writing on a cloud. So smooth, so 'sexy'. I switched to a calligraphy style pen, I'm not very good at it but the paper did great. I attempted oriental brush writing and found it should be quite suitable, the lines were clear and crisp and the paper did not wave from the ink. I switched to a 'Sharpie' then an extra - fine 'Sharpie', even a cheap ball-point. Even the ball-point was enhanced for standard paper. I did a test run through my printer. It was not the best printing but was OK. I it may have been my 'less - than -the -best' printer but I would accept it. The paper is thin, almost see through, like a sexy bra.... So.. if you enjoy good paper, playing with inks and techniques and so on, this paper is great. My only regret is AMAZON does not warehouse it yet, it should, so I don't have to pay extra shipping next time. AMAZON take notice!

If you enjoy fountain pens, calligraphy, pen-and-ink-drawing or tracing, BUY THIS PAPER. It's far superior to *any* of the similar vellums I've bought over the years. It's surprisingly strong for its sheer weight, and boasts a glass-smooth surface that is a joy to write on. So far I've tried it with a ballpoint, a Signo gel pen, a Parker fountain pen, and a Faber-Castell India ink marker, and none of them have bled or smeared. Just out of curiosity I also ran it through my Epson inkjet printer and it worked fine when I fed an individual sheet (though I wouldn't try it in a laser printer because of the high heat). In short: This is a highly versatile paper of SUPERB quality. When you consider the price of a single package of vellum, this paper is also a bargain at $25 for an entire ream. And although the shipping seemed a bit steep at first blush, my paper arrived much faster than I expected. I'm delighted with my purchase and won't hesitate to buy this product again.

Paper is fine. It's 10lb onion skin, just like you'd expect. However product listing says this is 500 sheets and i received a single 100 sheet package.

Love this paper! Yes, 9 lbs is super light & thin. Paper is more opaque than tracing paper, but can not write on both sides. For Fountain Pens? Fantastic! Nibs, including dip nibs, glide over the paper. There's little or no tooth, and no feathering. Great find!

I was ready to leave a 5-star review had I just ordered the 100-sheet package and stopped there. The paper is deliciously crinkly and fountain pens glide over the surface. Wet inks will feather but I had no bleed-through. It was packaged nicely between 2 pieces of cardboard and shrink-wrapped. Then I order the 500-sheet package. It was in flimsy paper envelope, which was completely torn open with the paper barely inside, with a lot of it bent. What aggravates me is that this torn package was inside a perfectly intact bubble mailer. So, back that goes and advice: don't buy 500 sheets at a time..
