Spare Parts and Full Repair Kits for Ceramic Disc Quarter Turn Cartridges 1/2" (SG12 Silicone Gaskets ONLY)

For the price these discs were delivered within 2 days. I had a drip on my 20 year old kitchen tap & was faced with an expensive valve and adaptor sleeve replacement. I took the valve out to find the old white disc was split. I couldn’t find a similar looking disc but the tap magician site gave most data regarding size. The discs looked thicker (see photo) but for the price it was worth the try. It fitted loosely but as you tighten the valve into the tap it squeezes out and forms a seal. The result was to stop the drip and as the seal does not move I expect it to last in situ.

Did the job

Excellent service, arrived within 24 hours of ordering. As a previous reviewer says although the dimensions of the product differed from the original silicone washer inside the tap - the replacement part having a slightly smaller diameter and being at least 2mm thicker than the original - it actually squashes into shape when tightened and seals perfectly. Well worth the small price and probably saved at least £200 which I reckon it would have cost to replace the faulty Astracast tap - for which parts are not available - with a similar replacement. Tap manufacturers must hate these guys.

Seemed to have all the same measurements as original items but tap leaked even worse than before. Even tried swapping individual items leaving half the original parts in place but no improvement . Have gained temporary reprieve by cleaning original parts with toothbrush and reassembling. So in my case can’t give many stars as didn’t work for me. Going to replace with new tap but will now check for availability of spares before ordering a new one (lesson learned).

Amazed at these little discs! Honestly thought it would never work as my tap from the cold water side was dripping profusely. Now it’s as if the tap is brand new! Highly recommended 😃

This kit is NOT universal. The silicone seals were too big ( both thickness and diameter) to fit my Bristan mixer tap.

I had previously fitted new cartridges to these taps but in hindsight all that was needed was these seals. A much cheaper option. Just ensure you measure and get the right sizes.
