Cauliflower Ear Remedy, Superior Alternative to Magnets for Ear Therapy, Ear Splintz Ear Stabilization Kit with Head Wrap

I started to get separation of my cartilage and started the process of getting a cauliflower ear. I was trying to use this after draining it to keep the swelling down but it didn’t work. If it’s well, but not enough pressure to keep it drained or keep the area firmly press down. This would be a great prevention method.

Went to an urgent care where I was referred out to a specialist. Lucky for me I had the EarSplintz with me and they were able to take care of me then and there. The nurse helped me mold it to my ear after draining it. Once molded it did expand a bit which made me have to trim certain parts of the mold to fit comfortably. It does at times pinch on my ear lobe but overall it is exactly what I expected and has kept the fluid from returning. I have had it on day and night, only remove it an hour at a time for comfort. Will be buying this product to keep on hand for the future.

This is the only product that keeps the swelling down. Very easy to make and very comfortable.

This product gets 1 star across the board. Make no mistake about it: This is NOT a sufficient means to prevent cauliflower ear. I had a recent treatment for a hematoma and the bandages the doctors applied after each draining applied at least 10 times the pressure this product does, even with the headband. It comes nowhere close to providing the pressure needed to ensure blood does not recollect. It is also very difficult to make a mold that even closely resembles your ear. I made several attempts to create a satisfactory mold, and everytime they came out looking and feeling like they would actually deform my ear. The product guide suggests to wear it for 5 days, I cant imagine what an ear would look like after that. Not to mention the plastic clamp it comes with is very flimsy and cheaply made. Overall, I was disappointed with pretty much every part of this product, which is a shame, as I was very intrigued at the idea of this being a convenient and innovative solution to this problem. However, this product probably does more to cause cauliflower ear than it does to prevent it.

This is the most expensive product I purchased for my cauliflower ear! This is the only thing that prevented it coming back. Worth the money to save your ear. The company reach out to me to try as well and I thought that was great marketing.

Appears to work fine for normal to small ears but was uncomfortable to wear for individuals like myself who have large ears.

It works but you must follow the directions carefully and be dedicated to it until you heal. It will not be painless. Taught me to wear headgear.

MAYBE this will work if you can get the wrestler to wear preemptively when there are no symptoms - good luck. Wrestler are a tough, suborn bunch - at least here in PA when they are in HS. We bought this as an alternative to the stitched bolster (been there done that - terrible pain - he'll never do it again). The physician was optimistic when he drained and was interested in the results. Well, we made a made the mold immediately after draining and he wore all night with pretty good results. However within a day it filled back up. Maybe if he would have stopped going to practice and wrestling duals completely, the results may be different - but in season in PA that is unlikely to happen. The process is easy and there is enough to make multiple molds. NOTE: Per the coach and trainer, my son DOES wear head gear all the time - unfortunately hear gear does NOT always prevent hematomas of the ear.
