Opening the bottle, you get that unmistakable aroma of ghost chiles (if you can keep yourself from sneezing, LOL). Tasting this chile powder on its own, the initial flavor is the fruitiness of real ghost chiles, and then the heat kicks in. A lot of chile powders lose the fruitiness that fresh chile peppers have, but this powder actually still has it. For me, that's a sign of a great quality chile powder. I’m a fine of these peppers and I love the convenience to spice up recipes. Works phenomenal in chili but can be added anywhere you would add cayenne peppers. This product seems to be quality and I have no issues.
