Cost effective replacement for plastic valve stem caps. Lasts the life of your car, looks good, and easier to handle.
I'm not sure why plastic valve stem caps keep breaking when installed on my cars. Maybe the valve cap fairy wants more tribute from me. Every 6-12 months, I find that the tips of plastic caps cracked and the inner workings of the valve stem exposed to dirt and grime. Some are on the verge of falling off. This happens with the Coscto green caps. This happens with the ones I buy from the auto parts store. This happens to all plastic caps. This happens on all tires of all of my cars. In the past, I found myself buying packs of plastic caps every year or so to have them around when one did break. Multiply this with the fact that I keep each of my cars ~10 years, and I've spent more time, money, clutter storage space, and brain waves on something I shouldn't be spending any more time, money, storage space, or brain waves on. (This review will be the last time I spend any brain waves thinking about valve stem caps!) The first car whose plastic caps I replaced with these aluminum caps has never since had a broken or missing valve cap. So I'm back to buy more of these for the rest of my cars. A broken plastic valve stem cap is just a minor annoyance added to the task of keeping your tires filled with air or rotating your wheels, but wouldn't you want to be free of this minor annoyance for the next decade or so that you own your car? Besides lasting for the life of your car, they look better than plastic caps, and the texture makes them easier to handle with dirty or greasy hands/gloves. For the cost of 1-2 packs of packs of the plastic kind at your local auto supply store, get yourself a set of these instead ASAP. Brain waves out.

Metal Threading is a Must
I purchased these after struggling to remove my original black plastic valve stem covers and getting my hands filthy recently when putting air in my tires. I actually originally went to Auto Zone and got a set of valve covers that looker very similar to these. However, I ended up throwing the Auto Zone covers in the garbage, because the thread used to screw them onto the tire valve was plastic and 3 of them tore when I attempted to put them on. After looking for a replacement for my replacement set, I found these valve covers and liked the simplicity of them, not to mention the fact that the threading is metal. They were VERY easy to screw onto my tire valve stems, especially because the hexagonal top allows for easy gripping. These covers are solid metal, have a very sturdy feel, and look great. They also arrived only 6 days after I purchased them (much earlier than Amazon's estimated delivery date). Very happy with this purchase!

Defective design. Dangerous. Do not buy.
It is hard to believe that something as simple as a valve cap can have a defective design, but these valve caps shipped directly from China do! The threads are not formed all the way down into the cap. That means the "O" ring seal is not compressed when the cap is screwed all the way on and the threads run out. This design defect has two implications. First, if you tighten these caps up on the valve stem, you are actually forcing the brass threads of the tire valve stem to cut into the aluminum valve cap where the threads end, which invites the brass/aluminum junction between these metals to seize together over time, which will make the valve cap difficult or impossible to remove. Second, the "O" ring is not compressed at all when the caps threads end, meaning the tire valve has not been sealed against moisture getting in and possible leaking air through the tire valve stem from getting out. These caps are dangerous. Don't buy them.

Tire Valve Caps
One out of the four valve caps did not have threads in it.

Nice product for the price
I gave this product 4 stars because they look and feel cheap up close. From a distance, they look nice on my car. I have had no problems with them so far and have had them on for a couple months. I recommend this product.

My cap is off to this cap
This stem caps do a super job of keeping dirt out of the stem area. They are very well made and look great. They are very long and take about twice as long to screw on as a standard plastic cap. I've found that only becomes a problem if the tire has a slow leak and air is needed every couple of days.

Black Brass valve stem caps
These valve stem caps are excellent. When I purchased new tires, the tire company replaced my stem caps with "green" rubber caps. I didn't want green caps with my black rims, and I didn't want to go back and ask for my caps back. These black chrome brass caps are better than the caps my car came from the factory with. In reading reviews I learned that if the valve caps are not brass they can seize to the valve stem, which is one of the reasons I purchased this set.
