I was hoping that like previous valved mufflers I have purchased that these would remain open until a vacuum source was applied. By being normally open, you can just hook to direct manifold vacuum and have a nice quiet ride at idle and cruise... but when you stomp on it and the manifold vacuum drops they open up and roar.... sadly because these operate backwards I am forced to use the supplied pump and remote to make them work.... so far they do work... just with they specified on the page that they are normally closed valves.

I have not installed it on my car just yet but I just received it the other night and this thing looks perfect the welds are really good which is a major plus it came package really good and wasn’t damaged
