Sony XAV-AX100 AV Receiver (Black)

The only reason it is not 5* is due to its size.I was using car OEM audio for long time, then realized I never used cd/dvd/blue-ray and most of the time I was using my phone to play songs. I was planning to setup a reverse camera, for sure it needs a display console. I don't want mess my dashboard. After a little research, narrow down this product. So, I have dispaly for my reverse camera, Bluetooth audio receiver, Bluetooth phone hands free console, USB port, FM radio and the best companion "Android Auto". I don't need Phone holders and Maps anymore, this console supports navigation. The "Android Auto" is neat, all you need to say is "ok google" rest assured. It reads text messages, WhatsApp messages, and also asks you you want to reply back, and what.you want to reply. The phone book also cleaner and really useable.The audio output is awesome. It allows to adjust front and rear speaker volumes, equalizer control, subwoofer support.Overall, it is best companion for your car and best replacement for boring OEM AV receiver.NOTE: This is your car AV receiver not a TV; It wont play video or any animation. The only video you get is your rear camera view.

Not worth since it does not have much features like JVC KW-M740BT with Android Auto/Car play/ Weblink for JVC app for Android & IOS users who can use Waze Navigation map and watch live YouTube videos with Hi-Res audio, dual USB, 1920x1080p playable, Digital time alignment , 13 Band EQ at very reasonable price. As Car Play does not support maps, this model can support Waze maps, user need to download Weblink for JVC and Waze app from App Store or Play store. It has all the other feature like voice dialing,messaging, Voice command for Navi Etc. It has host of Audio features like Hi-Res Audio, Time Alignment Etc. Sony is way lower in Specs and high in price.

Best android and apple car play.nice set.no one can match this.

Decent system. Apple car play does not support any maps as they don't yet have the licence. Also does not work with iPods

Awesome product from sony xav ax100 and which supports apple carply / Android auto / Navigation....which I was using in my brezza and voice command will work really good while driving ,so it is good option from sony....And output from this system is really good and gives clear voice and base ......Android auto works very faster with this system .Fm radio is also works good and gives the clear voice ........So it the best product for best price....Who were interested ,please go for it......

Pros: (1) Sony brand (2) Ergonomic design (3) Sturdy built (4) Good UI, seamless Android Auto integration (5) Decent amplifier. (6) Mic and rear cam work wellCons: (1) Screen could've been 7" as there's space left in my (Etios) double din. (2) Sometimes the Tuner doesn't start or the Bluetooth doesn't connect automatically to Android Auto - seems like software bugs. (3) No OTA update! Firmware updates have to be manually fed through a USB drive. (4) Android Auto connection needs the cable. May be future devices can introduce WiFi direct for high-speed wireless connectivity. (5) Although the future is wireless, it is still early to ditch the AUX-in port! Yes, there is NO 3.5 mm AUX PORT!Bottomline: This is the best value-for-money aftermarket Android/Apple system in India. Pioneer has a 7" screen, but the DVD player is redundant. There are some rough edges and bugs, but remember that these are initial days of Android Auto and it should get better from here.
